Wednesday of the Third Sunday of Easter

Imee Therese's POV:

"Ow! That hurts!"

"Oh! So-sorry!"

Anthony is removing the bandage that covered the wound when I was hit by a bullet two days earlier. Thank God, that wound is already healed...though my shoulder still hurts.

"...sigh...if I get my hands on that stupid killer!"

"Hey! Anthony...calm down. It's alright." I smiled to calm him down. "I'm just curious why he shot me...I didn't do anything wrong on him."

"That's why I really need to watch your back." Anthony said to me. "Sorry if I wasn't able to protect you back then..."

I can sense in his tone of voice...how regretful he was...for not protecting me from being toppled on my wheelchair and being hit by a bullet...almost close to death...two days ago.

"No, Anthony. You've done a good job. Its just...we didn't expect that things will go terribly wrong." I simply replied to him. "What matters most is that I'm alright now...and things is starting to return back to normal. Don't blame yourself, okay?"

I smiled brightly to know that I'm true to what I've said to him...

"Well, alright...if that's what the Servant of God is telling me. Hehehe!" Anthony feels calmed now that he punned me and laughed. "Thanks for cheering me up, Imee."

"Your welcome, my love."

By the way, while Anthony is in the town hall to intervene with the negotiations, between the mayor and the protestors, in my behalf, I was able to contact Father Jean and Archbishop Tiroda for any help to the farmers so that they could be able to adapt to the effects of severe drought that is happening here...

"Umm...is Imee here?" Then I hear Evangeline's voice from outside, looking for me.

"Well...yes, milady." Anthony replies for me. "What can we do for you?"

"Well, the relief goods and supplies has been arrived in my terrace." Evangeline explains. "These came from Archbishop Tiroda himself."

"Ooh! Sounds great! Hehehe!" I giggled with joy. "Come on, Anthony! Let's see what he has given for the farmers!"

Without any hesitation, Anthony pushed me, through my wheelchair, out of the room and into the elevator. Gone down, we approached the terrace to see what the Archbishop have gave us...

"Hello! Imee!" The mayor's secretary greets us. "Right now, we have 100 boxes each of food, toiletries, clothes and medicines. But...estimating with the number of farmers and their families being affected by drought, this amount is not enough to cover them all..."

But instead of worrying, I smiled at her...

"Don't you worry about it. This will be already enough for them."

"Huh? What do you mean?" The mayor's secretary seems confused with my answer. "If they starve again...dude, another war might be happening again!"

"Please calm down, milady. Don't you ever believe in miracles?" Anthony defended me. "Well, at least we have something that the people could afford...we should be thankful to God for the blessings that He have given us."

The secretary takes a deep sigh as she is convinced by Anthony's argument. Then Anthony and I approached the goods...as I closed my eyes and utter my prayer...

"Lord...thank you for the blessings that You had given us in this village. Help us to share this blessings to all those who needs it. I pray that everybody will be able to receive...and be contented with these foods and goods that You had delivered through Your servants. I pray that through our simple gestures...I hope that, like your example, this little blessings will be able to feed a thousand. Amen."

Christian Anthony's POV:

We proceed with the distribution of goods for the farmers and their families. Accompanied with Catherine, Joshua and Evangeline, we helped each other so they could receive it...as Imee and the mayor's secretary checks out from afar.

"Here's your goods, mam and sir. God bless you."

"Thank you, kind gentleman."

One by one, the families were able to received their share of the relief goods...until eventually, we had exhausted all of the boxes...and there's nobody queueing for more...

"Well, that's the last of it." Catherine comments. "Everybody has able to receive their relief packs that will keep them stuffed for now."

"Hmm...that's peculiar. There's a 100 packs each of all kinds of relief packages...and there are only 100 families who had received it." The mayor's secretary approached us and wonders. "There are actually 600 families who are affected by the drought."

Well...for some random reason, I'm also started to wonder how will 100 boxes each of all kinds of relief goods will be able to fill in the needs of 600 families? I tried to look around me...finding any person who wasn't able to receive the packs earlier. Then I saw one of them...smiling though he wasn't able to get a relief pack.

"Hey, sir. Why are you smiling?" I tried to ask him.

"Well, I was able to receive some food packs, clothes and medicines from you." The man happily replies.

"But...how? I didn't see you queueing earlier?"

"Well, my neighbor who did lined up earlier said that the box that he received have six compartments. Each of such has an allotted amount of relief packs for six families, including the receiver of the box. Those packs will last at least for three days, thank God."

I was startled...and smiled brightly. I didn't expected that this single box of goods will be able to make an extra mile...feeding six families at the same time!

Then I returned to the mayor's secretary, who had finished a phone call, to tell the good news...

"Milady! Milady! The relief packs! It's not only just for one family, it's for six of them!"

"I know! And the mayor's cannot believe with his eyes!" The secretary exclaims. "He toured around the town and he said that 100 relief boxes have satisfied all 600 families of the farmers!"

100 boxes for 600 families...I can't believe it! It's like the Good Lord feeds five thousand hungry people with just five loaves and two fishes! It's another blessing from God...thanks to the prayer from Imee earlier.

And speaking of Imee, I saw her leaning back on her wheelchair while sleeping soundly. I approached her...and patted her head.

"...hnnng...oh! Hello, Anthony! Hehehe!" Imee then wakes up and greets me with a giggle. "Did I miss something important?"

"Well...it's just that 100 relief packs had satisfied 600 families." I replied as I sat down on a bench beside her. "Another village have just seen a miracle, thanks to your prayer, Imee."

"Yes, Anthony. Our prayers have been answered." Imee replies back with a smile.

"Imee, how about taking a rest for a bit more? I'm sure that you deserve some."

"Sure. Just wake me up if somebody needs me, okay?" I nodded at her directive. "Thank you, my love."

Imee then starts to close her eyes and fell asleep...as her head slumps over my shoulder. And while I patted her head...and touch her soft and beautiful hair, I can't stop myself from smiling.
