Chapter 39

NATHAN'S P.O.V

My legs turned to jelly. I wasn't expecting her to tell her so soon. I felt my whole body go numb and I didn't know what to say. I was waiting for a reaction off Lucy but she didn't say anything. She looked down at the baby boy who was in her arms. She brushed her hand over his head gently making sure she didn't touch his little soft spot on his head. She gave him a kiss on his forehead and past him back to Lydia.

She walked past me, looking at me on the way past and walked out of the door.

"Why did you tell her?" I asked her very harshly.

"It's not fair on her, keeping it from her."

"Fucking hell mun." I stormed out of the room and saw Lucy sitting on one of the chairs just outside the room. She had her head against the wall and she was looking down the corridor watching all the nurses coming in and out of rooms.

"Lucy?"

"Why?" She asked me.

I sat down next to her, blocking her view of the corridor. "Why?" She asked again, getting teary.

"She told me.." I gulped.

"Told you what?" I stayed silent for second. "Nathan?"

"She told me if I didn't she would go public about us, the baby and"

"And what?"

"Nothing"

She got more upset. "So you slept with another girl so she wouldn't tell people about us. Are you embarrassed of me?"

"NO. Of course not. You're my whole world. I knew this would hurt you if you found out. But I was more afraid if the press found out and the fans wouldn't take it easily."

"So you didn't want people finding out."

"No. I don't care about that. I'd like the whole world to know if I could. But it's not that simple, is it? I was scared you'd get hurt, and Lydia and the baby."

"You did all this so I wouldn't get hurt?"

"Exactly"

"Good job." She told me, looking away.

"Can you forgive me?"

"Forgive you?" She asked shocked, facing me. "You slept with someone else."

I'll take that as a no then, I felt sadness fill me. But she carried on. "But I also love you and I do understand you did it to keep me safe"

"You do?" I smiled.

"Yes. But I want you to do something. To prove me you love me."

"Anything"

"Tell everyone about us" she asked, grabbing my hand.

"What? No"

"Then no, how do I know you're telling the truth?" I thought about it for a second. I just want her to be safe, and happy.

"Ok."

"Really?"

"Yeah! Really. If it means keeping you, I'll do it."

She smiled and hugged me.


LUCY'S P.O.V

I pulled back and smiled at him. "I'm going to see the baby"

I got up and walked back into the room. How could I ever trust Nathan again? I love him so much and don't want to let him go.

"Hey" I shut the door behind me and sat down on the chair besides the bed.

"Sorry" she said, looking at me with a face full of sympathy.

"Don't be sorry, it's not your fault"

"I didn't think it's was fair keeping it from you." I smiled at her comment. "So what's going to happen?" She asked.

"He told me that he's going to prove he loves me, by telling everyone about us?"

Her face looked shocked. "Really? That's a big step. A really big risk in his career Luce."

"I know. But how do I know to thrust him if he doesn't?"

She looked down and examined her baby. "Anyway, have you thought of a name?" She looked up at me and smiled. She looked down and swiped his thumb around his small chubby cheek. "Tyler-Jay. Tyler-Jay McGuiness."

"It's perfect."

Jay came back into the room with 4 drinks. "Where's Nathan"

"Um- just gone to the toilet" I smiled.

He nodded.

He looked towards Lydia. "So, I was just about to ask you something"

Lydia looked at him with wonder on her face. "Yeah?"

"So I was thinking about telling then fans?"

"Really?"

He nodded, he looked nervous. "I was thinking about doing a video for them" he smiled.

"That's a great idea"

"Will you film it for me Luce?"

"Sure" I smiled.

I got out of my seat and grabbed Jays phone and switched it to camera. I counted down from 3 I'm my head and pointed to him when I clicked play.

"Hey everyone. I hope you're all having a lovely week. So guys, I've got some news and I'm not sure how you're going to take it." He took a deep breath. "For the last few months, I've um- I've actually been seeing someone. She makes me so happy and I hope you can be happy for us. However, there's more. I couldn't find the right time to tell you. A few months ago, Lydia, which is her name. Lydia actually um- she became pregnant." He took another deep breath. "And, unfortunately she's had the baby prematurely. But fortunately, they baby's ok. And he's a baby boy. He's healthy." He started tearing up and wiped his eyes. "His name is Tyler-Jay. I'm a daddy. Who would ever think someone so immature as me could become a dad aye? But I am, I'm a daddy." He wiped his eyes again. "I've never been so happy, I just hope you can all be happy for us, for me. I love you all. Goodnight lovelies."

I pressed the pause button. "That was beautiful" I told him. He nodded.

"Lets just hope the fans think so."

"You sure about this?" He nodded.

I uploaded it to YouTube and asked one more time just incase be changed his mind. "Sure now?" He took a deep breath and looked at Tyler-Jay. He kissed him on his fore head.

"Positive."

I clicked the button that said:"share to twitter" i put the caption "hey guys, I've got something to tell you:/" I counted down in my head once more and clicked the post button.

"Done. No going back now."

I tweeted once more from his account, "I hope you can all be happy for me:) x"

I clicked the interactions and waited for a response. Nothing came through at first, but then i refreshed.

Hundred of tweets came through. "Holy.." He looked towards me with fear in his eyes. So I read a few out.

"OMFG, IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU"

"WHAT? IS THIS A JOKE?"

"Our own @jaythewanted has announced he's a dad:')"

"I love you"

"PLEASE FOLLOW ME"

"Aw. This is so cute."

"NO. I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THIS."

He smiled at the tweets.

He looked back at Lydia and kissed her.

I put his phone down and left them to it. I walked out of the room and Nathan was standing there. He was smiling. "Follow me" he put his hand out and I grabbed it.

"Nath, people will see us" I told him as we walked out of the hospital.

"Let them" he smiled as he looked at me.

By now, the sky was dark and the night air was chilly. I shivered as the night air attacked me. Nathan took his jacket off and thew it around me. He took my hand again and dragged me around the side of the building and walked up the side steps.

We made it to the very top of the building. It was awfully high. "Oh my god" I said out loud.

He took me to the edge and we both held onto the railing, his hand on top of mine. Right in front of us, the illuminated city. It was so beautiful.

"Wow, it's all so beautiful." I smiled.

"Yeah, just like you" he smiled.

I looked towards him. Normally I would find that cheesy but he made it work. He was already facing me and the wind was blowing my hair everywhere.

He came close to me and wrapped his arms around my back and I put my head against his chest and wrapped my hands around his back also and looked over at the city. I hadn't seen anything so amazing.

I looked up towards him and smiled at his cuteness.

"I'm sorry."

I put my finger on his lips. "Sh, that's the past"

He smiled. He put his hands on my neck and leant down and kissed me. "I'm so lucky to have you" he said, just before he kissed me again.

"And I'm lucky to have you"
