The life of a Vampire Billionaire

Chapter 9

Four days have past and I have been to another meeting with the vampires. We have gotten an answer from the werewolves.
They killed an 71 year old vampire and that made it all clear. They won't step back and we won't stop. We will haunt them down and it will be bloody.
There is now officially a war between vampires and werewolves, and I'm a part of it.

Aubrey is not a fond of my choice to get to know Caitlin. In fact she dislikes it vastly, but there's nothing she can do about it.
Aubrey has been very moody today because she knows I'm going on my second date with Caitlin.
She went to her place earlier - she couldn't stand seeing me happy, when I, according to her, am risking to ruin my life.

I lean against my parked Ferrari outside Caitlin's apartment.
I see how the door to the stairwell opens and my gorgeous date comes out.

Caitlin's blond hair is in long curls and her blue eyes are finely painted. She wears blue jeans, a white pretty bluse and a cute green jacket.

"Hey handsome.", she says smiling and my heart skips a beat.
"My lady.", I say and open the car door for her. She sits down carefully and I close it before I walk around to my seat.
"Where are you taking me?", Caitlin asks polite.
"Where do you want me to take you?"
"Maybe your house? I would really like to see how you live.", she answers courteous.
"We can have dinner at my place, and of course I will cook.", I say as a suggestion and she nods happily.

I drive on the main road and then turn onto the road leading to my house. Caitlin looks out of the car window and admire the long verdant avenue.
"Wow.", she utters.

I stop in front of the huge gate and step out of the car to unlock it by dealing a complicated code.
She looks at me amazed when I drive through the open gate.
I drive around the roundabout with the large beautiful water fountain and stop in front of the stairs leading up to the entrance.

Caitlin gets out of the Ferrari delight and her jaw drops when she sees my giant white mansion. She seems enchanted by it's extraordinary beauty.
"I have never ever seen anything like this. It's unbeliveble..."
To say the mansion is incredible is an understatement. It looks magnificent, the walls have beauty in the structure and all the windows have perfect arches.
Over the welcoming entrance is a mighty balcony that is held up by two curved pillars and the railing is covered with climbing ivy.
The enormous garden consists of freshly cut green grass that smells sweet and all kinds of blooming flowers and bushes in all colors.

The extravagant dwelling is surrounded with a high fence, it goes from the gate, around the garden and to the back where there is a large pool with glistening blue water.

I personally think that the best thing of my mansion is the location. It has a great view over a gorgeous lake and from the long balcony you can spot my stunning private beach.

"The atmosphere of the whole place is breath-taking.", Caitlin says overwhelmed. "You live here?", she continues overjoyed and it sounds like a question.
"Yes I do.", I reply proudly but I'm not sure why she asked when she already knew. She smiles at me wide and it feels like my heart is melting.
