The next day Caitlin works late at the office. She's writing notes to the editors of different local newspapers, and today she has decided to work past closing time to earn some extra money. I tried to talk her out of it but she said that she needed to, so I let her.

Caitlin probably doesn't know that today, this particular day, two entire months has past since we met for the very first time. I want to make a romantic gesture for her and I will do so by surprising her.

I buy a bouquet of sixty white roses at the nearest florist's shop. I park my car outside the office and wait for her to quit.

I imagine myself looking sophisticated in my tuxedo as I'm leaning against my Ferrari. In my hand I have the blooming bouquet, and as I stand there I realize that I'm actually really happy. I live in more than abundance, have many friends and a gorgeous girlfriend. I'm kind of living a dream.

The door to the office opens and my girl comes out.
"What are you doing here?", she asks exalted.
"Today it's been two months since we first met.", I say and she walks up to me.
"You remembered."
"Of course.", I utter and look at my dashingly pretty woman. "For you." I hold up the flowers.
"They are wonderful. Thank you.", she expresses herself happy as she grabs them and I look into her crystal blue eyes.
"No, thank you.", I reply and she looks at me wondering. She has a cute little wrinkle on her forehead and her head is slightly tilted.
"For what?"
"Everything.", I claim and she giggles. I lean in and we kiss passionately.

I joined the vampire group in order to take revenge of the werewolves - specifically the police chief. But now that I know that he's Caitlin's father I can't allow myself to kill him. I could never expose Caitlin for it and then be able to live with myself. She would be an orphan, and I, if anyone, know how terrible and painful that is.

I don't feel safe here in Jaxonrose anymore. It's just a matter of time before Mr. Rhodes founds out that I'm a vampire. I need to move as far away from him as possible, to a place where I'm not reminded of my horrible past and where I can be happy without having to worry.

I drive us to Caitlin's apartment and again as she sits so still in the seat of my ferrari that I think she's scared that it will break, I get reminded of why I want to be with her, even though she's a human. She's just perfect in every single way and I can't imagine living without her.

So, as we sit down on the couch in her living room I ask her one important question:
"If I was to move, away from everything, would you come with me?"
"I will follow you everywhere.", she answers easily and moves closer to me.
"Caitlin, I mean it.", I say and turn around so that I'm facing her lovely face. "Pick a place, anywhere you want and we would go there.", I explain and she looks at me amazed.
"Are you serious?"
"Yes!", I utter loud and her facial expression lights up happily. "Where have you always wanted to live?"
She thinks for a while and then answers:
"Malibu."
"That's where we will go! We will build your dream house, and it will be just you and me. Wouldn't that be great?", I claim enthusiastic and she nods to every word I say.
"It would, it definitely would!", she utters joyful and I take a grip of her hands.

The living room would be totally dark if it wasn't for the lamps shining in every corner. They radiate a blurry light that makes the atmosphere cozy. In front of us on the sofa table stands a vase with the white roses I bought her, they smell wonderful.
"I love you Caitlin Rhodes.", I say, and as I look at her my heart beats at it's fastest, it feels like it will jump out of my chest to my bare hands.
"I love you too.", Caitlin answers and I let go of her hands. Our lips crash together and I have never been this happy before.
