On the way to Bobby’s house with it being in view Draven stopped me. His facial expression said none thing, it was hard, and cold. Bobby came out on the porch to wave us through, Draven whispered, “We do that so if something is going on I get you somewhere safe.” As we entered the room everyone was in the room sitting down. I wanted to get my mind off a few things so I walked into the meeting room. There was a sliding glass door going to the garden, but not far from it lurked the eerie forest. The craziest thought popped up in my head, “What if I was a werewolf?” I laughed it off as I noticed that I felt like I was on fire. I could not cool down so I took off my shirt exposing parts of my skin from my cami to the bitter cool air. It felt better but it was still hot to me. Draven came in seeing that I am burning up he picked me up carrying me to Bobby’s room. He whispered to me lying me down, “You are safe in here and it is cool.” It felt nicer, but my eyes grew shut after he left. I woke up feeling a little fatigued and I wasn’t burning up anymore. I laid in bed before moving struggling to hear voices or something from within but there wasn’t anything. I sat up looking down when I realized I had no clothes on except my bra and boy briefs. I found my clothes on the floor next to me sliding them on. I walked into the living seeing the world is muted. I peaked around the couch to see no one. My worries started as I thought something was wrong. I looked outside to see that they were playing football and talking. I breathe, “Where do I fit?” I reached for my necklace noticing it wasn’t there I ran into Bobby’s room. I looked around asking myself where it can be.
Blinding me, as something glared in my eyes. I walked over to the shining object picking up a silver hand held mirror. I picked it up holding it up to my face with someone else. My hands let go of the mirror letting it hit the floor sending shards everywhere. I spun around almost facing him but Joseph had left. I forgotten to breathe as I gasped for air. I could feel blood trickle down my leg. I ran for the door stepping on the glass trying to get the door opened but it was locked from the outside. Tears splashed my face as I was screaming, “Help! Help! Draven! Heather! Bobby! Someone! Help me!” I wiped my face clearing my head for a second until someone started talking, “Awl this is a sad little show.” I slowly turned around grabbing a piece of glass beside of me and pushing hair out of my face. Joseph let out a howl. He was grinning at me while I stayed by the door clutching the piece of glass. “Looking for something?” He held up my necklace. “Why do you have it?” “That’s a good question actually I sneaked in finding you here. Now what boyfriend lays his passed out girlfriend on the bed unprotected.” “I just want the necklace back.” His face lit up, “Then let’s make a deal?” “Depends on what you got.” “If you tell your boyfriend you never loved him, to stop protecting you, then I just might have to give it back.” Joseph was inching closer while I was holding onto the glass. “Why would I do that?” “OH! I thought you wanted your necklace back. I can always give it away or destroy it.” He started for the window. “Wait. If I do it you give me the necklace back first.” “You do what I said then we will talk.” I could feel my hand bleeding as I let go of the glass at the same time Draven busted open the door Joseph was gone. He started screaming at me, “What the hell Klarissa!? Don’t lock the damn door!” “I didn’t lock it. Joseph locked it from the outside.” He stopped screaming, “What? Joseph was never here. You aren’t feeling good are you? Go back to bed.” “NO! That is all I ever do is sleep! I don’t need you. I don’t even want you! I don’t want any of this!” I walked out throwing my hands in the air. I took my ring throwing it at him. I was gone from the house walking in the woods. I could hear the footsteps soon behind me then Joseph started talking. “See? Now that wasn’t so hard?” A bright grin came over his face, “Shut up and give me the necklace. You promised.” He waved his finger at me. “I didn’t promise,” His arms were extended out toward the sides of the forest, “I don’t have it.” A cold laugh came from him as I started walking backwards, “Let’s say I am the big bad wolf and you are the helpless little rabbit.” I started running taking a left running into the woods to hopefully slow him down. I was jumping over fallen branches and dodging the hanging ones. I could hear a loud dark howl not far from me. I breathed, “If he wants a game, he’s got one.” In the middle of running I was scanning the area for something like a cliff. I could feel my body heat sky rocketing. I know where a cliff is to a body of water, but I have to buy some time I thought. I climbed a tree turning my back to the tree itself while he came upon the area scanning around. He chose a path running for it while I jumped down running for my life as I could hear his giant claws not far behind me. The cliff is just up here I thought. I started to prepare myself as I got closer I jumped at the edge falling back first holding onto my chest when I glanced to see Draven screaming my name.
The water hit me so hard it stung me. My body went numb for a long time as I swam out to the banks. I could see Joseph so pissed that I had played him walking away. Draven helped me out of the water while Bobby checked my temp. He gave Draven a look while they took me home. When we got in Draven handed me my ring back by sliding it on my hand. We sat down on my bed then he took my hands into his. “I love you,” “I love you, too.” “I love you is not enough anymore. I want more. I want the world to know that you are mine. I want to show them, tell them.” Draven’s voice was tender. “I am going to show you tonight.”
