afew hours before..

after sending the text message to Hailey a knock was heard it was their general manager

what shocked them the most was that behind him stood the company's CEO

everyone in the room bowed and Taeyong instantly went up to him

it was one of his responsibility as the leader

"ive come here to discuss a debut of a new unit" he says

everyone in the room started whispering most of them knew that Taeyong would be a part of the new sub unit it was only natural since he's the general leader

"the new unit will be called NCT Dream" the CEO continued

Taeyong furrowed his eyebrows he was curious since he knew a cutesy image wont fit him especially right after NCT 127 where he had a sort of a manly image 

"The unit will be composed of seven members" the CEO continued as he was handed a folder by an assistant "Mark,Renjun,Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin,Chenle, and Jisung" he calls outs "these will be the members of the new unit NCT DREAM following NCT U and NCT 127" he explained "i want to show a different kind of fresh and vivacious energy and this will be through NCT's maknae line"

everyone in the room started whispering among each other 

Taeyong on the other hand was shocked by the news he looked at his fellow members that were called earlier he could see their excitement and he could also see Mark's facial expression as he was also shocked at the news  

"Okay its final NCT DREAM unit please follow your new unit manager as you discuss some important matters and Taeyong please follow me" the CEO says as he exits the practice room 

Taeyong followed behind him till they reached the CEO's office 

"im sure youre wondering why youre not part of that unit right? i mean youre the main leader of the whole group" he went straight to the point "why wouldn't you be a part of this unit? "

Taeyong just looked away 'he was right' Taeyong was also wondering that 

"well you see you dont really have the great of an image now and thats because of your relationship with Hailey" this made Taeyong look at the CEO again "half of your fans are against your relationship and this is bad" the CEO continued "its better to observe for now and let the fans cool down first" 

Taeyong was devastated "i understand" 

but then again he is right
