Hailey lets out a deep sigh
its been years since she stepped foot on any of their property
the last would probably that time when she left home to pursue music
she didn't think she'll be able to step foot in that place again after leaving
and just like that flashes were everywhere and media outlets and interviewers crowd to her asking her hundreds of questions
Hailey was guided by her bodyguards and the hotel staff safely inside from the inside the medias outside looked so desperate to get anything that they continued to take a picture of her every move
Hailey was then guided to the elevator but asked to be alone from there on
she knows the building like the back of her hand
inside Hailey was in deep thought
'why would they want to see her' 'did they change their minds?' 'did they finally realize?' 'have they finally accepted her?'
the elevator doors finally opened and Hailey made her way towards the presidential suite where her parents would be waiting for her
she knew they would be there since it was the room where they used to have their family meetings back in the day
the guards opened the door for her
she steps inside and sees her parents both in the living room
both minding their own business with her dad reading the newspaper and her mom drinking tea
it was the same picture she'd see back in the days
and it was as if nothing happened
her mom was the first to notice her presence
"Oh! Jihoon is here!" she says as she made her way to her daughter giving her a hug and a peck on the cheeks
her dad was next to look up from the newspaper he was just reading he lets out a fatherly smile and stood to hug his daughter
deep inside Hailey couldn't help but smile she had missed this and with her parents being like this made her feel accepted
finally
"its been a long time," her father says "we missed you"
"i missed you too" Hailey replied
"have you eaten yet?" asked her mom Hailey shook her head 'no' "then lets go eat lunch then we've prepared your favorite"
they made their way to the dining of the suite
as if on cue the waiters and staff came in serving different kinds of foods around the table
most were Hailey's favorite
as Hailey sat in her seat she still couldn't believe that it was really happening
seeing both her parents in front of her
it was exactly like before
throughout the meal, they shared stories mostly about how the family business was going
"so Jihoon how are you?" her mother asked
"Im doing great" Hailey replied "we recently got our first music show win and ongoing"
both her parents looked at each other
"we heard you're in a relationship at the moment," her father asked not looking up from his meal
Hailey didn't know how to explain that to her parents
"about that w--"
"we heard that it was all a setup?" he mom speaks up and like her dad didn't look up from her food
"how did you know?" Hailey was confused
her father looked up and stared straight into her eyes
"we know everything" he say with a serious tone
