Today was professor McGonagall's class and I was so excited! We'd be changing glass into animals, which sounds so cool!
I wasted no time in choosing a glass. I chose a sparkly glass chalice that once belonged to my grandmother. It wasn't huge but it had been in our family for decades and was recently passed down to me when she had died. It was very important to me but I wanted to see if my magic would work on it.
I raced into class and sat at my desk in the middle row. The boy in front of me, Seamus, was very clumsy so i will make sure to shield my chalice whenever his wand is out to prevent him blowing it up. Class had barely begun and there were still students rushing into class to prevent being late and the professor noticing. Little did they know, however, she was here ages ago in her cat form. Seamus hadn't arrived so I came to the conclusion that he wasn't going to and carefully untucked my chalice from my cloak, placing it on my desk.
Just then a figure came rushing down the isle of desks to his seat. Without warning, he bumped into your desk and knocked the chalice off the desktop. "SEAMUS!" You shrieked, desperately trying to pick up the scattered pieces of your now broken cup. Seamus had immediately bent down to help only to be pushed away by you storming out crying.
Seamus' POV
I was drowned in guilt. Shaking, I slowly picked up each bit of the glass and put it in a box. I looked up to see every student looking at me with hands covering their mouths. There goes my chance at ever being y/ns date to the Yule Ball. I too ran out of class in search of a particular student that may be able to help me...
I found her in the library as per usual. "Hermione!" I called. She turned around and smiled but as soon as she saw my face it dropped. "Seamus, what's wrong?" She asked fully concerned. I handed her the box and motioned for her to open it. She did and gasped, "This is y/ns I've seen her drink from this. Its her grandmothers!" As if it couldn't get any worse...
"Hermione, you're the smartest witch I know. Is it possible you know a spell to fix broken glass?" I asked politely. She smiled taking out her wand which gave me hope. "It just so happens that I do know one that may do the trick, and thanks for the compliment!" She waved her wand and the glass returned to its pre-broken shape. I gasped and hugged her, putting the glass down first. "Thankyou so much Hermione, this means so much"
"You're welcome Seamus. Now I do believe you owe a certain witch an apology..." I nodded and ran out with the glass in search for y/n.
The only place I could think she'd go is the Gryffindor common room so I went there first. I saw her curled up into a ball crying on the sofa and sat down next to her.
Your POV
I felt the sofa dip down and slowly glanced at the intruder of personal space. Seamus...
I shoved him and told him to go away. "I think I have something that will make you feel better..." Without looking at him I shouted, "NOTHING WILL MAKE ME FEEL BETTER SEAMUS YOU BROKE MY GRANDMOTHERS CHALICE" he seemed unfazed by my outburst. I turned around to face him and tell him to leave to see the chalice in his hands. He handed it to me. "H-how?" I choked on my tears. "Hermione helped me fix it, I'm so sorry y/n I honestly didn't mean to!" He said worried what my response would be. I placed the chalice on the side and threw myself at him hugging him. He hugged back and laughed. "This may be a bad time but, would you be my date to the Yule Ball?" I nodded and buried my head in his chest. "Thanks Seamus"
A/n hey guys! Sorry I've been away for so long. I've been busy with homework and continuous tests/exams. Its amazing to see that even in my absence, people are still voting and making positive comments so thankyou all.
I made an extra long one as its long-overdue
All the love ~
