After the big emotional drama I finally felt at peace. Good thing was that mum allowed me to be myself and not care about other people. I smiled thinking about the drama, just like teachers act way too much when principal is around my mother must have been gotten a little strict since grandmothers are around.
Right now the clock has struck seven and we are getting ready for the big event. I am so excited!
I am wearing a beautiful Indian dress with my hair styled in simple waves ending mid back, my dress is blue with shimmer stole over it, my sister made me put blue eyeliner and mascara, whole look is complete with high heels.
As I walked outside the house I looked around to see if any of my cousins are ready...nope. I turned around and went inside the house once again and caught my reflection in the mirror; I was looking good, like not in a narcissistic, proud of my beauty good but nice decent good. I clean up really well.
Somewhere in my stupid brain I thought: I wish Dhruv was here.
Its happens to me all the time; I get ready for an event later but first I wish that Dhruv is present in the venue or he is a neighbor of any of my relative which is totally impossible since I know his address (little stalker), or he might come in the event and will be perplexed by the blooming light of my beauty. But it never happens and like my every little expectations this one also crushes. I get really excited and use all my wishing stars for him, but they never come true.
But it's okay, I am having a lot of fun without him. Today's event will be super duper ultra wonderful. All my family members are ready to party, the venue is amazing and the DJ is playing amazing songs, the food looks good and only if only little kids don't wail we are up for an amazing party.
My family's party game is on point, we know how to turn up. We are Kapoors after all; we go hard or go home. All the males of the family will first rush to the bar and get super drunk, the fun begins when they start doing their stupid drunkard shit. I and my cousins have this habit to point every drunk in the room and make fun of them.
Sometimes even if you don't get drunk you have fun looking at the drunk people and make fun of them.
Then these drunken animals will take over the dance floor and create utter nuisance which I love. Every dance moves done by everyone is super funny. Especially the aunties of the realm, they have way of moving and that is funny. Since I am wearing heels I will try not to dance but I know I will throw my heels and dance like crazy.
Just thinking about the fun I will have tonight gives me such a rush.
I again ran outside to check on my cousins I found Vidhi, my second cousin, seated on a chair with a drink in her hand.
Vidhi is my dad's cousin sister's daughter. She is superb, terrifically comical and a piece of cupcake. She was dressed in a beautiful pink Indian dress wearing an amazing pair of heels and she had her hair were tied in a top-knot, which only she can pull-off.
I ran up to her and greeted her with a big smile.
"Hey" I said smiling, mega happy to see her.
"Hey" she returned with even a bigger smile.
She stood up and held me in a hug; I hugged back with extra force. How I missed her. After the love subdued we sat down.
"How are you?" I asked her.
"Good, how are you?"
"Awesome"
"Why you didn't come yesterday? We had so much fun" I said to her and she made a sad face and said:
