Chapter 4-Picnic I

Arohi pov- When Nishta asked me to at least thank the person who convinced my parents.. I thought for a while.. Looked at the watch to see the time.. N realised it was late.. So thought of putting a message first bcoz i didnt know when he sleeps..

Thanks Karthik for convincing my parents.. :)

And I messaged him..

He sent me back a smiley..I thought he put in so much effort I should have rather called him and decided to go ahead when Rishi called asking about tomorrow as to From where should they pick me up.. And we were discussing over those things..

Karthik pov- I know Arohi loves travelling and she would stay back just bcoz her parents won't allow.. But I assured her that I would convince them.. Though I knew very well that it's a very tough job.. I called Arjun uncle and after a 1hr call I could finally convince him.. Though I know he wasn't happy about it.. He agreed.. Then I had a talk with her mom too... Who too agreed.. But I was taking her at my risk.. assuring them that I would take good care of her... After this I tried calling her up to inform but the calls remained unanswered.. So I sent messages and finally she message me a thanks.. Though I was at least expecting a call.. Then I too replied back with a message....Then I thought as to how will she come tomorrow as the bus is gonna take a different route not touching her hostel area and we are gonna leave early morning as it would have to take a reverse route else.... I thought of giving a lift.. And called her up but her phone was busy now.. At 11.45 in the night whom is she talking to? I thought.. Then Samar's face crossed my head and I was pissed.. He will drop her up tomorrow..why should I care then? I thought and went to sleep annoyingly..

Next day morning I got ready and again my heart said to at least enquire as to how is she coming.. But my mind said to let it be as I would again get hurt when I get to know that Samar will drop her.. and i knew it was true..And for the first time I agreed with my mind though my heart tried convincing to at least give a try..

Finally all met in bus... And we were heading forward.. All the people took the bus from the starting point except arohi..

"Guys Arohi.. "Karthik tried reminding them.. whose words were cut off by Rishi who said she will catch the bus on the way..

Karthik pov-Soon the bus came to halt after around 15min and finally I saw Arohi..she was wearing a blue casual top and jeans.. I smiled seeing how even I wore a blue shirt of similar shade today with jeans.. She got in and there were only two places in the bus one besides Renu and one besides me.. I thought she would choose for the second option but yet again she proved me wrong and walked past my seat and sat with Renu behind..My mood was off now.. I just looked out the window..and only things that were coming in my mind was our first meeting in office...then her introducing Samar.. then I seeing them together yesterday.. I closed my eyes and decided to take a nap as the journey was long.. Later I woke when someone jerked me..
"Karthik coffee... " Arohi stood in front of me with two glasses of coffee.. And I smiled sheepishly cuddling up.. But soon rubbed my eyes and realised I wasn't dreaming but she was actually offering me coffee..

"Thanks.. Where have we reached and how much more time? " Karthik enquired no one in specific..."we will reach in 45 minutes" came in Rishi's reply who walked passed us.. And arohi smiled..

"Thanks for yesterday.." Arohi said settling down besides Karthik

" I had promised u.. " Karthik smiled and said..

"But how did you convince my dad? " Arohi asked, surprise fully visible in her face..

Karthik smiled taking his sip of coffee.. "That's a secret.." he whispered still grinning..
