Chapter 21- Back to him but.......

Arohi directly went to her room after they reached home.. She wanted to cry but didn't do it too... She didn't know what was happening in her life..one side she was trying to stay away from Karthik but now that she has to stay away she is feeling d worst..especially after knowing that a proposal came.. She knew someday this would happen but never thought it would happen so soon.. How she was thinking to forget her feelings for Karthik and how all of a sudden someone's going to enter her life too....she had a sleepless night that day... She decided to go back to Chennai the next day...bcoz for the first time she felt suffocated at home unable to even shed her tears bcoz of the fear of being heard..

Next day night as she reached back to hostel she was bombarded with questions by nishta but she was in no mood to answer..

" Nishta please leave me alone for sometime.. " Arohi pleaded..

Arohi went to washroom to freshen up.. She cried a lot... She knew she can't go weak...she had to be strong.. For herself.. For her family.. She came out to find nishta waiting for her.. Nishta looked up at her and saw her puffed eyes..

"Are you fine?? " Nishta asked concerned.. And arohi nodded..

"Just that I'm tired" she said heading to her bed..

"But u didn't have your dinner.. " Nishta reminded her..

"I'm not Hungry nish.." Arohi said before pulling the blanket over her head..

Nishta pov- I don't know what happened to arohi...Something is bothering her badly and the worst part is she doesn't share her pain with anyone...I tried speaking to her but she doesn't want to... As soon as I saw her coming from washroom I saw her puffed eyes.. As if she was crying there....but again she didn't open up.. I too decided to give her time.. Bcoz I don't want to put more pressure on her..

Tears rolled down her eyes the whole night.. Even the pillow was wet....Slowly sleep took over...

Next day she went to office.. All were very happy to see her back especially Karthik.. He was missing her so badly he wanted to hug her tight.. But he controlled his emotions.. He again felt something amiss as she was trying to avoid eye contact with him.. He can read her eyes but not once did he even get a chance...

All were busy in work when Karthik got a message from nishta...

"Please make sure Arohi eat something.. She has already skipped her dinner yesterday and morning breakfast too.. " nishta messaged

" I will make sure of that.. Did u guys fight? " Karthik replied

"No... She's upset since she came back.. Something's bothering her.. " nishta said concerned

"I will try to spill out the bean.. Don't worry" Karthik messaged

Karthik looked up at the watch and saw it was 11.45.. He tried completing his work at the earliest and soon was in arohi's cubicle... He saw her holding her head and sitting.. He got coffee from the coffee maker nearby and kept on her table.. She looked up to find him leaning against the wall and smiling at her...she immediately looked down trying to avoid eye contact...

"What's it that's bothering u? " Karthik asked concerned..

"Nothing.. " she said looking at the computer screen..

"I have told u before too that your eyes speaks more than you and I can read them well too.. " Karthik said glaring at her..

"Karthik.. Please..I have work... " Arohi said blankly..
