Chapter 9 Misunderstanding 😑

Karthik pov-Two days have passed but I'm yet clueless as to where I went wrong.Now im losing my cool...I am gonna talk to her today..come what may..Let me see how she ignores me today..I decided to call her up in the office number itself.

Tring Tring

" I would be waiting for you at the cafe..after office.We need to talk." Karthik stated and hung the call even before arohi could even reply.

Arohi pov-What the hell...what does he think of himself? I wont go..

The whole day passed..Arohi was quite stressed out with work that she didnt even realise the time..she had even skipped her meal due to work pressure..it was 3..and as it was half day..All started leaving..

"Hey Arohi..Come.." Renu called out..

"No yaar you carry on..it will take me some more time.." Arohi said

"No u are coming right now with us..continue your work tomorrow morning..don't sit alone.." Anisha said angrily..

Finally they left..

"Yaar im very hungry..will take sandwitch as parcel from cafe and leave.." Renu said..

"I will be back in some time then..call me up once you reach down.." Anisha said..

"Yeah yeah at the parking lot with rishi na..we know.." Both girls teased and anisha blushed and left.

As soon as they entered the cafe Arohi saw Karthik waiting for her..It had skipped out of her mind that he had called her..before she could leave karthik saw her..but he was annoyed seeing her with Renu..As they both walked towards the counter even Renu saw Karthik.Karthik got up from the seat..

"I want to talk to you alone.." Karthik said eyeing Renu.."I hope she can excuse us for a while.."

"We can talk..she isnt going anywhere.." Arohi said holding Renu who was about to leave.

Karthik tightened his fist trying hard to control his anger.He took a deep breath and asked.." What is the issue between us?Why arent we on talking terms since 2 days? "

"I have actually sort out YOUR issue..YOU had a problem of me clinging around you and behaving like a cry baby..I can take care of myself well enough...wont bother you ever.." Arohi said blankly..

Karthik was fully confused hearing her statement but then he saw Renu looking down and smiling to herself and he understood what would have happened..but at the same time he was furious on Arohi for trusting Renu more than him..

"Firstly i didnt have any issue with being around you..And had i had any problem i would have openly said it to YOU..I do have the guts to speak out on a persons face" Arohi tried to intervene but Karthik showed his hands furiously..

"I havent completed yet..I hope we have known each other for a couple of years now..it does feel bad to know that you trust a girls word who you have known since a month now more than me(karthik said eyeing Renu)..I dont wish to justify over things i havent even said at all.."Saying it Karthik turned around to leave..but turned back to Renu..

"Congratulations...this is what you wanted right?create rift between us..you have done it.."saying that Karthik left from there..

Arohi pov- Karthik just said two sentences..but whatever he said was true..i should have atleast talked to him once before jumping into Renu's words..when two days back Renu said that she heard karthik badmouthing shekhar as to how annoying i was..always clinging around him...i was angry..i hadn't thought he had such opinion about me... My self-respect was hurted or may be it was my ego bcoz I couldn't think further...not once did i think to atleast confront him or ask shekhar but i ignored him totally..its true i should have trusted him over Renu..but..i judged him on hearing Renu's words...mom had said never judged anyone without hearing their part of story.. But.. I didn't bother to hear his part at all..

Night

Arohi pov-It's been a sleepless night for me...i know I myself am to be blamed for the mess I created... I know I have hurted Karthik...i could clearly see in his eyes.. I tried a lot to contact him later but his phone was switched off..

Tring Tring

Who's calling me at this Time?arohi  wondered..

"Hello..arohi do u have any idea where the hell is Karthik?Hes not home.. Neither with any of his friends and his damn phone is switched off and his mom has been tensed and on toes.. " shekhar said everything in one breath

" where are you now?" arohi asked

" searching out for him on the roads..he isn't this irresponsible.. That's why I am tensed.. " shekhar clarified..

" I am responsible for everything.. " arohi said guiltily..

"means? " shekhar questioned
And arohi told him everything that happened in cafe

"Oh shit!! Y did u even trust that Renu? She had already tried messing his life once.." shekhar said annoyingly..

"I am sorry..can you come at my hostel and wait for me down.. Please.. "Arohi said

"No arohi.. Firstly ur hostel warden will kick u out if u go out at this time.. And secondly Karthik is very furious wherever he is.. N at this moment he seeing u after the mess.. I am sorry to say but u have hurt him arohi..u know him well enough that he gets hurt very easily.. N he's at his worse wen he is angry.. " shekhar tried to make her understand.

" I know.. But I'm ready for whatever wrath I have to face.. Please shekhar.. " arohi pleaded

With the help of nishta arohi sneaked out of the hostel and soon shekhar picked her up from there.. They were searching around for Karthik but weren't able to find him anywhere..

"Shekhar two minutes.. Yeh traffic police se puchte hai..by chance Dekha ho..kab tak aise hi chakkar khayenge..
" arohi said on seeing a traffic police..
Shekhar got down and went to ask him showing Karthiks pic and returned back tensed and took the car from there immediately....

"Kya Kaha unhone?(silence) shekhar u r scaring me now.. Atleast tell me hum jaa kaha rahe hai?"

" hospital.. Unhone dekha toh nai Karthik ko but kaha ki evening ko ek white swift Ka accident hua taa due to rash driving and the person was severely injured n is in hospital .. " shekhar stated

Arohi couldn't anymore hold back her tears.. She crossed her fingers and prayed god for him to be safe..

A/n-So what do you guys think happened to Karthik? Let's pray I keep him safe ;) after all I'm the writer :p
