Chapter 17-Jashn 2017

Karthik was angry on himself for spoiling the holi...He had planned so much for the day to make arohi happy but ended up this way.. Shekhar had told him about everything that happened.. Karthik was busy watching TV to divert his mind laying on couch when his doorbell rings.. He goes to check who came at this time.. And is shocked to find the person.. He smiles and hugs her happily..

Next day as everyone reaches office.. They get busy with work as they have "Jashn 2017" annual day function of office in the evening before which they had to complete the work and leave... Arohi too was busy in her work but she goes to Karthik's cabin to call him for lunch and realises that he hadn't come to office today..She calls him to enquire but he doesn't receive the call.. She was tensed if he's fine.. She calls back again...But is shocked to hear a girls voice on the other side..

" Karthik is busy now.. Please call later" came in a voice before hearing the beep sound..

Arohi pov- Whos the girl?and did he not come to office because of her? Is it tanisha?Or is it his princess?

Anisha pov- Arohi seem lost somewhere.. Each time any of us cracked joke.. She didn't smile whole heartedly..She seem upset..as if something was bothering her badly..Did something happen in holi bash? No one told me anything.. Did they have a fight? I wanted to ask her but couldn't.. Even Karthik hasn't come to office today.. Usually he's the one who's excited about any celebration at office but he hasn't turned up today.. Rishi and Shekhar too tried calling him they said but he hasn't picked their calls too..Soon we all went to house to get ready for the function.. I took arohi along with me.. I was gonna ask about yesterday when I heard her mumbling about Karthik..

"Yeh phone answer kyu nai kar raha..kal takk toh teek taa... Aaj itna busy kyu hai? " arohi mumbled hearing which anisha smiled..

"So you are missing him? " anisha asked..

Arohi shrugged.. "I will go and get ready" saying it she went from there avoiding the question..

Anisha shakes her head mumbling"Stubborn girl! "

Anisha and arohi got ready and went to the place where the events were organised..After getting struck in traffic both reached the venue though they were late.. The program had already started.. Soon they found their gang and walked along to them.. But soon arohi frowned not seeing Karthik there too..she somewhere was missing him.. His pampering.. His care...she was so used to being around him that she felt lonely even being among her friends.. Later she excused herself and went to get water when she found a familiar sound and turned to find Karthik there.. She kept the glass and turned back but didn't find him...was it her imagination she thought.. She looked around but didn't find him.. Finally she decided to head to the group and was walking carrying her golden netted Saree.. She is about to stumble but there comes a hand to hold her.. She looks to find Karthik smiling at her.. He makes her stand still..but even before she asks him.. He leaves without even saying a single word.. She stood there confused as to what happened to him...

As she was approaching towards the group, she found a old lady mumbling..

" Yeh aajkal K bacche b na...budde hoke humaari aankhein unse tezz hai..kyu na Ho.. Unki nazar Mobile se upar utte Tab naa. " mumbled the old lady picking up her things which had fallen down from her bag after someone hit her..

Arohi went in to help her and finally both got up.. The lady was still searching something.. "mere chasme??" she mumbled.. While arohi forwarded her specs which had fallen to her.. The old lady keeps her specs and looks up at smiling arohi.." Thank you beti.. " she said caressing arohis cheeks..

"Thank you? Ek aur beti kehke apnaate ho aur phir thank you kehke paraaya b karte ho.." arohi pouted..

The lady smiled and asked.. "Tumhaara naam kya hai beta?"

"arohi.. " she smiled and replied.. " hmm kya mein aapko dadi bulaasakti hu?" arohi asked hesitantly.. While the old lady nodded positively making arohi smile broadly.. Both chatted for sometime and then arohi left as she got a call from her friends..

As she was going to her friends she saw Karthik along with a girl.. The girl was standing close to him and was setting his hair and both were cracking joke and laughing.. She somewhere wasn't comfortable seeing them together...Moreover Karthik who always used to be around her hasn't for once exchanged a word with her today. His ignorance somewhere was affecting her... She eyed them as she walked to her gang and Karthik noticed it..his heart skipped a beat when he saw her eyeing them hurtfully.. He noticed that Her eyes too were welled up..

A/n- Finally an update...Did you guys miss arohi and Karthik? I don't think so.. 😛 I know it's a small part yet I needed to stop it here.. I hope u Ppl will enjoy the way the story is gonna turn around now 😝
