Chapter 22

       

(Zane's POV)

As we all walked in there, a long table of food like pizza, salad bar, and desert sat there. Waiting to be eaten by everyone here.

"You really out did yourself Zane, dam. Plus, deserts! CUPCAKES!! So many cupcakes." Travis had a huge smile like the cookie monster on his face.

"Yeah. I guess... I mean." I paused to collect my thoughts. I didn't do this Aaron and Laurence did. "Um, I just wanted to celebrate an amazing summer with my friends. Not that I care or anything."

"Aw Zane~Kun that's so sweet. Kawaii~Chan like it when he is a little nicer to others instead of being grumpy all the time."

"Hey! At least I care somewhat... we... I mean. I mainly did this for Aphmau. She has been down lately and I... thought that we could all just be here together." I looked over in Aphmau's direction and she was just sitting at one of the party tables. Everyone else started to get their food. "Aphmau? You alright? You're not as excited as I thought you would be."

"Oh. Sorry... it's just when you said friends. I thought of Laurence and Aaron because well you know why."

"Um... Garroth is already here. He came in and set everything up when I went over to pick you all up. He's probably somewhere around here."

"I was talking about Aaron and Laurence. Not Garroth."

"Sorry." It was silent between us both, she didn't say anything. "I'll leave you alone then." I left a plate a pizza Katelyn gave me for her.

"Sorry Zane really... I'll be fine. Give me a couple minutes and I'll join you all."

I looked over and saw them both walk in. Katelyn was about to say something but Travis covered her mouth and with a... kiss. Eww that's just gross.

(Aphmau's POV)

After Zane walked away I felt bad. Acting the way, I did towards him. I miss Aaron. He's probably mad that I walked away and I didn't give him a chance to speak. I'll just try to enjoy this thing Zane put together for me and spend time with the friends I do have around me.

Before I stood up to go get more pizza which was AMAZING. I felt a hand rest on my right shoulder. I turn to see who it was. Aaron. How did he know I was here?

"Aphmau." Aaron spoke, choking on my name. He didn't know what to say and I had no words. Except sorry.

"Why are you here? I swear if you invited him here Zane, I will kill you. With punches." Katelyn raised her voice and walked toward Aaron.

"I'm not here to cause anything more. I'm here to tell the girl I love that I'm sorry for everything. Laurence and I walked and he's sorry too. We, him and I, are going to try and be friends from this point on. I don't want to lose you Aphmau. You're the girl I love, the I girl love for. I can't imagine my life without you." I can hear Aaron choke up even more and he cleared his throat. My back still facing him. As he was saying those words, a tear rolled down my cheek.

"Aphmau. Me and him are on good terms, you don't have to worry about me anymore." Laurence spoke.

The whole room was silent expect for the sobbing and sniffling coming from me.

"Aphmau. Please say something."

I turn around and give Aaron a hug. I knew tears of happiness were down both of our faces and Aaron kissed on the forehead.

"That was so beautiful." Garroth sniffled and smiled.

"I know right." Travis started to also and Katelyn patted him on the shoulder.

"That was sweet." Katelyn sighed. "Alright dorks stop the lovey dovey stuff and eat. It won't eat itself you know.

"You had to ruin the moment didn't you Katelyn?" Zane asked her.

"Yep Zane or else Kawaii~Chan might have a heart attack or her head will explode. Trust me we mainly ME doesn't want that. I live with her."

"AHHHHHH!! Aaron~Kun that was sooooo sweet and Aphmau~Senpai..." Kawaii~Chan collapsed in Zane's arms as he caught her. "Thank you for doing this Zane."

"What? I only did it to make Aphmau feel better and not your ship."

"Take that back Zane~Kun!"

"Nope." Zane smiled, messing with her. Even though his face was completely red. Every time he is around her he always blushes. Heh... Oh, Zane.

Everyone else went over to get food and I did also. We all played games and had a good time. I beat Zane once again at all the racing games. Mr. "I practiced a lot" Pssh yeah right you did. We all started to head home and I got a ride home with Aaron. It was quiet most of the way there, he had the radio playing.

We got at our home and he opened the door for me. I got out of his car and he smiled, closing it behind me. The both of us walked over to the front door and turned to each other.

"Aphmau. I'm ready for whatever else happens next for us. I know that it will bring us closer every step we take."

"I agree. I love you Aaron."

"I love you too."

He leaned in close and I didn't too. It felt like time skipped in that moment. We both got closer and...
