Chapter 4

(Aphmau's POV)

It has almost been a week and I was making sure I got everything packed in my duffle bag. I called a local rental car place to see if they had a van available for a few days. And luckily they did so it would be easier for us all to travel together instead of coming in multiple vehicles.  As I was packing my clothes, I heard my phone buzzing. I ran over to answer it.

"Hey Aphmau! It's Laurence! I was wondering if we should bring tennis shoes or flip flops."

"Laurence. What do you think? We are going to be hiking and walking in grass. I think tennis shoes will be the best."

"Oh right, of course. That's basically common sense. Garroth was confused on what to wear so I called you. Thanks Aphmau, you're the best I'll see you later." Laurence hung up and I put my phone into my pocket, just in case someone else was going to call with any questions.

I looked at the time, panicking, I had to still pick up the van before the place closes. I ran straight to Katelyn's room to see if she would tag along with me.

"What do you want Aphmau? I am busy doing... stuff."

"I can see you're VERY busy with not doing anything. That must be extremely hard." I teased to see how she would react.

"Why though? I love being lazy, take Aaron." Katelyn was lying on her bed, face up, looking at the ceiling.

"Aaron is working and so is Kawaii~Chan. So you're the lucky winner to come with me! Your coming or not?"

"FINE. I'll be down in a few minutes."

I hurried back downstairs, purse in hand, waiting for Katelyn to come down. After she finally came down we walked a few blocks down and took a right, then arrived at the rental car place. I picked up the keys and paid for the weekend's worth. Katelyn got in with me and started to drive back home. She Katelyn, got her phone out and started giggling to herself. Me, of course I was curious so I asked what she was looking at.

"So who are you texting? Travis?" I teased, quickly got defensive, and turned away blushing candy apple red.

"No. Maybe. Why do you care?"

"Well you both have been 'secretly' spending a lot of time together lately. Is there something going on between you two?"

"How do you know we, I mean, him and I spent time together?"

"Travis, tells Dante and I eventually hear it from him. Plus, I know if something different is going on. We are like Best Friends. I know. Just like you know about how I felt about Aaron."

"True. I can't really say. It's complicated. I just might enjoy hanging out with him... that's all."

"Everything with you is complicated. Make sure you don't tell Kawaii~Chan. She'll make a shipping shrine of you and Travis."

"Aphmau. If she does, I'll make her take it down and I know Travis would enjoy that shrine."

"Alright. All I got to say is that try with him. I see the way you look at him. It's not good to hide your emotions for someone, because eventually it will come out when you least expect it. Plus, you're really happy around him and if you ever want to talk about it. My door is always open. Ok Katelyn?"

I drove the van up the driveway and put it in park. I got out and Katelyn did too. We both walked back into the house to make sure everything was ready to load it up in the van. I sent a text to everybody that is coming to bring their bags by sundown so we could load them up before dark.

After packing and loading everybody's things, Kawaii~Chan ordered pizza from Reese. He even gave us not one but two free soft drinks. We all sat down at the dining table I had. Aaron was the last one to sit and he brought over the plastic cups for us to pour our drinks.

"Aphmau~Senpai? Where will Kawaii~Chan be sitting in the van tomorrow?"

"Um, I am still working on the..." The doorbell rang, "Who could be here this time at night?"

I got up to answer the door, as I opened it. I saw a friendly, familiar face.

"Hey Aphmau? Do you happen to have room for one more person? I just barely got your voicemail you left me last week, sorry for not responding, I was busy. Sorry I didn't call back sooner."

"Of course. We only have one seat open. I'm so happy you're able to make it! Come on in, one of the guys will give you some pizza and soda. I'll get Aaron to put your bag in the van outside." Lucinda and I walked in. She walked on over to the table and said hi to everyone. Aaron got up and grabbed Lucinda's bag and put them in the van.

"Alright. That's everybody's stuff. I hope there are no more surprises." Aaron shut the back end, while I was leaning against the van.

"Oh come on Aaron, live a little. If there are no surprises in life then it would be basically boring."

"That's true. We have the tents and blankets in the van right?"

"Yes we do Aaron. Don't worry I have made sure that everything is inside the van. Trust me okay?" I walked up and wrapped my hands around his waist.

"Alright. Want to head inside?" Aaron kissed me on the forehead and sighed. I followed behind him, hand in hand. I had the seating ready for where the others would be sitting in the van.

"Attention everyone. I have the seating assignment here. Aaron and I are going to be in the front. Katelyn, Travis, and Lucinda will be sitting in the three seats behind us. Kawaii~Chan, Zane, Laurence, and Garroth will be sitting in the back four seats. Any questions?"

"Why do I have to sit next to Kawaii~Chan?"

"Because she is the only one that will tolerate you for a couple hours. Any other questions?"

They all shook their heads no. "Alright. We will see you all in the morning. All the guys will bunk over at Garroth's house and the girl will stay here at Aph's house." Aaron stood up making his way to the door.

Everyone else left accept the girls. Aaron gave me a kiss goodnight. Lucinda took the couch and I went up to my room for some much needed sleep.
