Chapter 11

(Katelyn's POV)

Travis and I snuck away from the group to the back of the cabin. He mainly wanted to, he has been wanting to spend time with me lately. To be honest, I kind of want to also. I will never admit it to him but he's pretty cool to have around. He is not as annoying... okay maybe he is but time sure does fly by every time I'm with him. Nicole has told me to try to open up a little more to people like I did her and Aphmau. It's hard for me because I have trust issues, and it's hard for me to trust someone. Even when my mom... I don't want to talk about that. I made a promise to Nicole and I keep my promises.

"Hey Katelyn. You look really beautiful today, much more beautiful than the starry night sky." Travis turned in my direction, looking at me with his emerald green eyes. I smiled back at him. I didn't dress fancy, just wearing a blue plaid shirt with a tank top underneath and short, ripped jean shorts.

"Thanks Travis." I smirked, we both sat on the chairs and looked into the sky. "So. Are you enjoying the trip so far?" It was awkward between us for a few moments and I wanted to try and start a conversation.

"Yeah I am. It's nice to get away from everything you know. And spent time with you Katelyn."

"Aww... Travis. Stop it."

"What? I am just being honest, it's cute when you blush. It matches your blue sea hair. And that smile you have on your face right now, makes it even more adorable."

"You really know how to charm a girl don't you Travis?"

"I don't know... you tell me Katelyn. Am I doing it right?"

I stood up and walked over to Travis, whispering in his ear. "I think you are doing a pretty good job."

"Is this the punchy, hitting, annoyed Katelyn I know? I don't know who is standing in front of me."

"Don't worry Travis. I'm the Katelyn you and love." I sat on his lap, just to see how he would react.

"Katelyn..." you have mysterious written all over you. And I want to look for the clues and know everything about you."

"Oh Travis, it is going to take a lot to peel the onion of Katelyn."

Travis leaned in closer, I did too. My heart pounded out of my chest, something about him just makes me feel happy inside. He leaned in and kissed me on the lips. Before he pulled away, I kissed him back. We both slowly pulled away and locked eyes. It felt like time stopped just now, Travis put his hand on top of mine. I didn't know what to do next, I froze just looking at him.

(Travis's POV)

After we kissed, I thought what happened was a dream but it was reality. Katelyn kissed me back, maybe she doesn't hate me after all. Is she wanting to open up more? Don't screw this up Travis if she likes you don't scare her off and get punched.

"Travis. I..."

"Don't say anything Katelyn." I smile and she did back, "Do you like me Katelyn? If you don't I understand."

"Travis. I do like you as friend. And maybe later we could be something more. If it's okay with you, I'd like to get to know you more."

"Really?"

"Yeah. It's been a while since I liked someone, the last time was high school. Wait you know that. Travis deep down I have hidden myself for personal reasons and you somehow were the person to break part of that wall down."

"Katelyn..."

"Travis. Let me finish." She put her finger on my lips. "Your quirky, funny, and a little creepy or weird sometimes. In the end you're an okay guy."

"Katelyn. I don't know anything about you but for you to open up to me means a lot. Just for you to say 'I like you' warms my heart. Plus, I like you too Katelyn. I'll do whatever it takes to your heart."

I put my head on hers, our noses were touching. She wrapped her arms around my waist and hugged me.

"Man Katelyn you're such a softy." I smirked as she came up and gave me a playful punch on my right shoulder.

"And you are a weird white haired boy." I chuckled after she said that. Then I gave her kiss on the cheek which made her blush even more. We both locked our lips again, kissing for a little longer than before. This was a dream that came true, I am kissing the women of my dreams. The girl I have kept my eye on since I met her on the doorstep. I hope bot can grow closer together over time. If we do, I'll cherish every moment we have and keep her from punching me of course.

(Katelyn's POV)

When I was kissing him, it was something I had never felt before. Like everything slowed down and your with guy who deeply cares about you. The best feeling in the world if you ask me, even though we aren't dating I want to get to know him more. I'm still shocked with myself, actually being open with him. Sometimes when I look at Aphmau and Aaron I get little jealous I guess. I wonder if I'll ever find something like they have, dang it. I am a softy.

Travis and I paused to take a breath. He smiled, his goofy innocent smile. He asked if we should join the others, I told him yes because by now they might have ate all the marshmallows by now. And we both wanted to have at least one s'more. Before I got up, I heard a small little giggle in the background.

"Um... Katelyn. I think Kawaii~Chan found us..."

I turned around quickly to see the Mewfia ear peeking out from the corner. Great. Just great. "Kawaii~Chan!! You have five seconds to give me your phone and run, or I will punch it out of your hands." I started to count down from five. And she took off running. I got off of Travis and ran after her. I don't want her to make a shrine when we got home with those pictures.
