Chapter 7
Alina
If I could, I would gladly spend my entire life just listening to Jeremy Crawford’s voice. It was heaven on earth, but I’m not sure if he knew that.
Jeremy is not only drop dead gorgeous, but he has a dazzling smile, and, he can dance. If that’s not a catcher, I don’t know what is. He’s kind of a chatterbox, but I don’t mind. Not when he has a voice and an accent like that. Besides, he talks enough for the both of us, and seeing as I can’t talk, he makes up for it.
I think the only unusual part about this is that Tinkerbell is dancing with Harry Potter. Crossover, anyone?
This brings me to my next point. Of course Jeremy is wearing a wig (a very loosely worn wig), and I am too, but I have high suspicions that Aiden thinks I actually dyed my hair.
I mean, the first thing he had done when he saw me in a costume was tug on my hair. When it didn’t give the desired effect (which was to be pulled off my head), I’m almost positive that he had believed it was my actual hair, dyed blonde.
“Would you believe me if I said that you’re probably the most intriguing girl that I’ve ever met?” Jeremy suddenly asks, and I give him back a small smile.
Ugh. Cue the butterflies in my stomach.
Shaking my head, I mouth back ‘no’.
So he shrugs in response. “I’ll figure out a way to make you believe it.”
The second that the song is over, someone has my arm grabbed and pulls me out of the center of the gym. What annoys me even more is that it ends up being Aiden who does it.
I give him an incredulous look, but he paces in front of me. “We’re going to fix this,” he says. “Don’t worry, we’ll get rid of it.”
I lift an eyebrow and smack his shoulder, making him look up at me, and gesture as to what the eff he’s talking about.
He stares me like a deer in headlights. “Your crush on Jeremy, of course! We have to get rid of it.”
I stare at him like he’s delusional, but he goes on. “River is going to kill me when he finds out! I’m the one who introduced you to him.”
He kind of starts having a little hissy fit, so I march up real close to him and slap his face. He winces, holding a hand to his cheek. “Right, thanks,” he says, sounding much calmer. “I needed that.”
I nod, and pull him out into the hallway. He stares at me quizzically, but I draw invisible words on the wall. River wouldn’t be mad at you for anything.
When he opens his mouth to respond, I turn back to the wall and draw out, I don’t have a crush on Jeremy, either, so calm down.
He frowns again and starts saying something but I roll my eyes and leave before he gets the chance to.
“Where’d you go?” Jeremy asks when he finds me, making me jump in surprise. He gives me back a lopsided grin. “Sorry.”
I shake my head to let him know that it’s okay, and point to Aiden, who just re-entered. He cracks a small laugh. “What did he want?”
So I pointed to Aiden. “Aiden,” he starts. I point at my head. “Aiden headed? No? Uh…Aiden…brain? Aiden…Aiden thinks!” I beam, glad that he gets it, before pointing at myself. “Aiden thinks that you…” then I form a heart with my hands. “Aiden thinks that you love something? Aiden thinks you like something?” I nod and point at him. He takes a few seconds to put it all together. “Oh! Aiden thinks that you like me?” I nod. Then he cracks a devilish little smirk. “Do you?”
