Chapter 4 dream part 1

"Karibo! What are you doing here." Stefany hugs her old friend. "Your not supposed to be here at all."

"Pow poooow" Karibo says.

"Ha ha I know it's been so long, but you need to hide. If they find you're here I might as well be as good as dead." Stefany says worriedly.

"Pow poow poooow" Karibo says frustrated.

"Alright I'll listen to the message from father while I work." Stefany laughs

"Hey that's a cute monster." Someone says from behind.

Stefany stiffens. "Good day lady Isis." Stefany says nervously.

"Stay calm Stefany I won't tell anyone that a messenger from the monster world came." Isis says.

"Thank you lady Isis." Stefany says bowing.

"Poow poow." Karibo says.

"What did he say?" Isis says.

"He says your a very nice and pretty person." Stefany says while scratching Karibo on the head.

"Hmm tell him thank you for the compliment." Isis laughs.

"Oh he knows. Very few understand the Karibo's language, so only royalty of blood or great friends of the royal blood line can understand them without learning the tongue. That's what makes them good messengers." Stefany explains.

"Are you royalty or a great friend of the royal family?" Isis asks innocently.

Stefany stiffens, but spits out the words. "Royalty. Daughter of the king of monsters."

"Then why find a peaceful life here?" Isis asks.

"My father was worried I might get killed or get captured by his evil brother, trying to lead an uprise in the other world and destroy all the most powerful creature that studied magic." A tear falls from her eyes. "And guess who that was me. They killed my mother because she was a powerful human magicianess married to the king of monsters." And then and there she broke down. "She would never betray my father whatever the cost, my uncle killed her." Stefany started to cry.

Isis stood there silently and thought: this girl has lost much but still has a will to live and wants no bloodshed no matter how things may get.

"Stefany why are you crying?" Mana asks worriedly.

"It's nothing important Mana. Hey Mana do you want to hear the rest of the magicianess story?" Stefany trying to wipe her tears away.

Isis stands there dumbstruck at the realization that her stories she tells Mana and the King were inspired by her life.

"Karibo can you give Stefany's father a message from the holder of the millennium necklace?" Isis asks the little cute fur ball.

"Pow pow." Karibo says in a solute.

"Good tell him that she is doing fine that he should not worry about her and I will make sure personally, she is treated right." Isis says to Karibo. Karibo nods and says her good bye to his royal friend.
