I sat down on Luke's couch and patiently waited for Luke to put the movie of his choice into the DVD player as I pulled a soft fleece blanket over myself. This is Luke and I's fifth date now, not including the day that I had my break down. We've always had our dates be private just because we don't know how the media would perceive anything that's happening between the two of us.
Luke will be leaving next week for a few concerts in Texas and Arizona so we've been hitting it hard by having three dates three nights in a row. He's been extremely welcoming with me being over at his house all the time. However, I'm still on a journey trying to figure out where I'll be living after next week because the hotel reservation is over then. I've been so sidetracked with Luke that I haven't had a chance to even search.
When Luke came over to the couch he sat next to me, causing me to lean into his warmth and rest my head on his side. "You're so warm Luke," I mumbled as I leaned further into him. "I love it."
Luke chuckled. "I know I am darlin'," Luke smiled down at me with his precious white smile and grabbed the remote from the coffee table, leaning in minimally so I could still be comfortable.
"What are we watching babe," I asked him as I looked up at him with a questioning look on my face.
"Oh, you'll see Care. And I know for sure that you're going to absolutely love it," Luke assured as he wrapped his arm around me to hold me closer to him- if that was even possible.
The main menu for the movie came up on the screen and my eyes went wide with excitement, "Oh my god! Yes! Blades of Glory! How'd you know I love this movie?" Luke hit play and placed the remote down.
Luke chuckled and rubbed my arm soothingly. I looked up at him again. This time directly into his amazing brown eyes. Our faces got closer and closer until I closed my eyes and our lips met. Luke leaned down into the kiss and I leaned up. We both pulled away in need of oxygen then locked eyes again. God. This amazing brown eyes. Oh man.
He smiled down at me before he told me, "that was the best first kiss I've ever had with someone, Care. It was so perfect darlin'."
I blushed and placed my head right below his collarbone, listening to his heart beat steadily. "I agree Luke. You're lips are perfect and soft," I informed keeping my head flat on his chest.
"Oh naw," his southern accent rang through my ears, "Definitely not as perfect as yours darlin'."
By time we were done arguing over who had better lips the movie was already over, and we didn't even watch any of it. "Luke," I yawned as I looked up at him with sleepy eyes.
"Yeah Darlin'," he asked as he raised his eyebrows in question. The scruff on his face was such a turn on.
"I'm tired. You should probably take me back to the hotel so I can go to sleep," I mumbled still looking up at him while rubbing one of my eyes.
"Nah Darlin' you can just crash in my guest bedroom tonight. It's not a problem. Plus I'm a little tired too. I don't know if I could drive safely," Luke replied with a long yawn and ducked his head.
I nodded and placed my head in his chest, closing my eyes slowly. Next I knew was Luke was sliding out from under me, then I was being lifted off the couch. That was the last thing I remember before I was out like a light.
When I woke up light was shining into the room. I looked around at first not knowing where I was. As soon as I saw a picture of Luke and his mom on the wall I knew where I was- Luke's guest room.
Letting out a sigh of relief I sat up from the bed and realized that I was still in my clothes from the day before. I slowly got out of bed and opened the door to the hall of Luke's main hallway on the second floor. As soon as the door was opened I could smell the beautiful aroma of something begging cooked in the stove.
I got down stairs and saw Luke at the stove with a spatula in hand, his back to me. Quietly I shuffled across the kitchen and opened the fridge right next to him, making him look in my direction. "Well good morning Darlin'. I hope you slept well last night. You passed out after the movie was over," Luke informed as he put the spatula down on the spoon rest and turned towards me.
I pulled a bottle of water out from the fridge and looked over at him. He was in red mesh shorts and a white v neck shirt. "Good morning. And I know. It just hit me and I was super tired," I opened my eyes wide at the way I said tired.
Luke laughed at me and shot me his wonderful smile. "Did you just say 'tiii-erd' instead of your normal 'tie-erd'. That southern accent is rubbing off on you," Luke joked as he got down to my level and looked me directly in the eyes.
I face palmed, "I know Luke. I spend way too much time with you."
"That's okay Darlin' by time I'm done with you you'll be speakin' with an amazin' southern accent," he told me with a large smile as he wrapped his arms around me and looked down into my eyes. He leaned down and pressed a soft kiss on my lips.
When we both pulled away we smiled brightly at each other. "Your lips are amazin' Carrie," Luke whispered and brushed some hair from my eyes.
I looked down and placed my hands on Luke's chest, pushing away from his grip. Luke had a surprised look on his face.
"Luke," I started and let out a long sigh...
