I woke up the next morning I quickly rolled out of bed and quickly pulled on some shorts, a shirt and slid on some tennis shoes. When I got out of my room the house was quiet and little snores were coming from Luke's room across the hall. I quickly but quietly bounded down the steps and straight out the front door with my key to the house tucked in my bra, along with my phone. Then I put my earbuds in my ears and began to jog down the street.

"There's a house fly swimming in my sweet tea," Luke's voice came to my ears. I began to zone out as I kept moving.

As I jogged down the street I enjoyed the beautiful Saturday morning. The sun was just coming up from the east horizon making everything golden and there was fog rising slowly from the fields. I smiled at the out of this world sight.

That's what country is.

Once I got to half a mile I stopped, out of breath and looked around me, taking in the beautiful fields of gold even more. There was a single deer standing in the field to the left of me munching away on the soybean. I just stood there and watched it standing there peacefully. What a beautiful, gentle, animal.

As soon as I got my breath back I jogged back toward Luke's house... I mean... our house. When I finally got back to the house I sat on the front step and put my head in my hands so I was looking at the ground between my legs.

After a few minutes I got my breath back and looked up at the slowly rising sun. I was completely drenched in sweat and deep in thought when I heard some footsteps behind me and a door closing. Next thing I knew Luke was sitting next to me in dark blue mesh shorts with a white shirt and handing me a cup of coffee.

"You don't have to do that baby. I told you, you're perfect the way you are. You don't need to be a twig to be beautiful," Luke told me as he looked over at me with a serious look. His brown eyes were so serious.

I sighed. "Yeah," I trailed off and took a quick sip of my black coffee.

"I love you, Carrie," Luke mumbled as he put his coffee cup down to the left of him and grabbed my left hand with his warm right one.

I gave him a look and gripped his hand a little more, "I love you, too, babe." The two of us sat there in silence, sipping our coffees while watching the sun rise. "Thank you," I mumbled and gave him a side glance.

"For what, Darlin'," he asked looking over at me with a curious look as he rubbed his thumb on the back of my hand.

"For being so accepting of who I am," I mumbled and took the last sip of my coffee. "It means a lot because my self esteem hasn't been the best since what happened Thomas." I shook my head at myself.

Luke removed his hand from mine and put his arm around my shoulders, pulling me into him. I rested my head on his shoulder and took in a long deep breath. He's a such a great guy. Really caring.

"I still don't know how a man can treat a woman like that. It's unacceptable," Luke mumbled and placed a quick kiss in my sweaty hair.

"I love you Luke," I whispered and wrapped my arms around his torso, taking in his scent.

Luke put his cup down and wrapped his other arm around me and placed his chin on my shoulder. "I love you too. Don't forget that, ever," Luke told me as he rubbed my shoulder with his large arm.

I pulled from the hug and raised an eyebrow, "How about we both get ready and we do something on this fine Saturday," I asked.

Luke instantly had a smile on his face. "Yeah, that sounds great. You want to take the first shower or shall I," He replied and stood up, holding a hand out.

I grabbed my coffee cup and then his hand, letting him pull me up. The two of us walked into the house and put our cups in the dishwasher. "I'll take the first shower. What do you want to do today," I asked and raised an eyebrow.

"Alright Darlin', I'll be ready to jump in once you're out. And I don't know, I'll figure something out," Luke told me with a sly smile.

As soon as the two of us were ready we hopped in Luke's truck. "You ready to go," Luke asked as he looked over at me with a cute look playing on his face.

"Where are we going, Babe," I asked shooting him a curious look. Luke didn't answer and just shifted the truck into drive.

"You'll see, it'll be a while though," Luke informed as he pulled out of the driveway... I quickly fell asleep.

When I woke up Luke as lightly shaking my shoulder. I opened my eyes to see his smiling face over me. "We're here Darlin'," he told me happily.

I sat up and looked around me. We were parked in the middle of nowhere. It was a huge field and there was just farm fields for miles.

"Where are we, Luke," I asked in shock as I looked around more. There was a little creek cutting through a grassy area off in the distance near a forest like area.

"We're near Lynnville. It has the population of like 300. And I figured you and I could spend that day fishing over that the little creek," Luke offered and opened his door. I quickly followed suit and got out as well. Luke put his tailgate down and pulled out his tackle box along with two fishing poles.

This is going to be a fun afternoon. Fishing, a wonderful boyfriend, and just a plain good time.
