A year and a half later....
Emma's POV
I woke up to the loud beeping of my alarm clock. I slammed my hand down on it and threw my blankets off of me as I trudged downstairs, still half-asleep.
As I was sitting at the kitchen table, eating my bowl of Frosted Flakes, my phone started to go off like crazy. It showed on the lock screen multiple texts from Killian, Regina, and the rest of the gang. I smiled as I read each one.
Killian:
Morning, baby. Happy first day of senior year. See you in a bit to pick you up. 😘😘❤️❤️
Regina:
You better have you ass out of bed and ready for school, Em, because we are officially seniors! 😝😝🎉🎉
Mary Margaret:
Hey Em! 😊 Ready for our first day of senior year?!😄
David
Wakey wakey Em! 😜 You and Killian better not be late for the first day of senior year because you're making out in his car! 😉
Robin
Morning fellow senior! 😎 You ready to get the hell out dodge, Em? I know I am! 😜
I shook my head and laughed. We were one crazy bunch, that was for sure. I texted each a quick reply before heading back upstairs to get dressed.
After I was done getting ready, I hurried down the stairs to meet Killian outside. Working at the animal shelter had paid off. He'd been the proud owner of a gently used Ford truck for the last 6 months.
He'd bought it cheap from my neighbor down the street. David and Robin had helped him do some work on it over the summer to get it up and running. He loved that truck like it was his baby. David and Robin had rubbed off on him with their obsession for cars. Silly boys and their toys.
I got a job last year at Granny's as one of the waitresses. It didn't pay much, but at least it was something. With filling out applications for colleges just around the corner, I needed to start saving up as much as I could. The chances of me getting any scholarships was probably slim to none. I was smart, and a good student, but I wasn't that gifted.
Killian had a better shot at getting one. He was a total brainiac. He was still my adorable dork. I don't think that was ever going to change, the thought made me smile. I couldn't believe that in March it would already be 2 years that we'd been together.
Junior year had gone by so fast that it was insane. So much had happened. Killian moved in with David and his mom shortly before the school year started. Killian and David really enjoyed living under the same roof, they were alike in so many ways. Both had never really gotten along wit their older brothers. And Ruth adored Killian like a son. Killian, David and Robin had become so close they were like brothers now.
Both Regina and Robin, and Mary Margaret and David were still going strong. More in love everyday it seemed, just like Killian and me. We were a bunch of lovey dovey teenagers. Other people must find us incredibly annoying and nauseating.
Regina's mom had eased up a little, she wasn't nearly as hostile towards Robin as she once had been.
Milah had moved because her big shot lawyer dad found a better job in Boston. And in her absence, Regina became our new cheer captain. She'd appointed me as her co-captain.
