Emma's POV
After I dropped Henry off at preschool, I drove over to Regina's house to have breakfast with her and Mary Margaret. I had a huge smile on my face the entire way. I still couldn't believe that Killian and I were going to have another baby.
We had both agreed that we wanted to have multiple kids. But we weren't trying, so this pregnancy was completely unexpected. Regina and Mary Margaret were going to flip when they found out.
Killian had left early this morning to go to the grocery store to grab the ingredients needed for me to make beef stroganoff.
He had reluctantly agreed to meet with his parents, so they were coming over for dinner tonight. And I thought me preparing one of his favorite dishes would cheer him up.
He wasn't particularly looking forward to this evening. He was still on the fence about allowing his parents to meet Henry.
I'd already told Henry about them when he had to do a family tree project for school and began asking questions. But I didn't go into detail about why he'd never met them or why Killian never discussed them. After all, he was only 3. He didn't need to be concerned about any of that yet.
The only family besides our friends that Henry knew was Ingrid. We'd kept in touch over the years and she visited us every couple of weeks. Henry absolutely loved her and even called her Grandma, which I knew she adored.
Ingrid had always been there for me, she was the closest thing I had to a mother. And I loved her dearly. I was glad that we hadn't drifted apart when I left for college.
I pulled up to Regina's house and skipped to the front porch like a giddy school girl. Regina greeted me at the door.
"It's about time you got your ass here," she squealed happily as she brought me in for a tight squeeze. "God, it feels like forever since I've seen you."
"I've missed you too, Gina," I laughed as I hugged her back.
"Hey, what about me? Don't I get a hug?" Mary Margaret teased as she turned around the corner.
"Get over here then," Regina rolled her eyes playfully as she tugged Mary Margaret in for a big group hug. We all giggled before letting each other go to head inside to the kitchen.
"So what's new, Em?" Mary Margaret asked as we sat down at the kitchen table. "How's Killian doing with everything that's going on with his parents?"
I'd called both her and Regina the other day to fill them in on our latest drama. Today was the first time in weeks we'd been able to see each other in person. Raising kids kept us all on our toes.
"We're having dinner with them tonight so it's sure to be awkward," I sighed. "But Killian is giving them a chance to prove they've changed. I just hope they don't screw things up like they did before. He doesn't deserve to go through that again."
"Neither do you," Regina shook her head. "I hope for both of your sakes they are being sincere."
"Me too. But I actually have some good news to share with you guys," I smiled.
"And what would that be?" Mary Margaret asked.
"Well, it's a good thing you guys like being aunts because you're going to have another nephew or niece to spoil rotten."
