School is a place of learning, where we meet the people who will be part of the rest of our lives. Friends or just people who you're going to run into and ask how that person's life is going, even if you don't give a damn.

The school has different groups of people with different personalities. The smart ones, the quiet ones, the extroverts ones, the funny ones, those who never find fun at anything and those who can't define themselfs. Unfortunately (Y/N) fit in this last cathegory. And like many students, she didn't like to go to school.

Often, during the day, she would sleep on her desk or fight to stay awake. Maybe it had to do with the fact that the subject didn't interest her. Or it may be to have stayed up the night before watching TV shows. Perhaps a bit of both.

On that day, the chemistry teacher had called her attention twice, so she was struggling to stay awake. Her eyes were almost closing again when she saw Monty Green passing a candy to his friend, Jasper, who sat next to her. Monty, incredibly, always seemed to have candies with him, but she wasn't close enough to him to ask for it. Not that it would stop half of the class from beg him for one of those. The girl rolled her eyes, then straightening on her chair and closed her eyes.

(Y/N) spent a few seconds with her eyes closed when she heard the sound of a small object falling on her desk. Her eyes opened immediately, her gaze falling on a candy that was on top of her notebook. She looked at Monty, asking herself if it was he who had given her that. But the boy was facing forward, appearing to be paying attention in class. The girl had a confused look on her face when she heard a low "pst" calling her by her side. Jasper.

Jasper Jordan fits into the "funny ones", he was always joking with everything that happened, and only got worse when Monty was with him. He also fits into the "smart ones" when the subject was chemistry. Overall, he seemed like a nice guy, but they both almost never talked to each other. And now he was there, sitting next to her desk, a smile was on his face as he stared at her. (Y/N) smiled back, giving him thumbs up.

The girl took the candy in her hand. The sweet was wrapped in a makeshift paper, probably because Monty always delivered his candies without any wrapping. (Y/N) put it in her mouth, feeling the sweet taste go through her tongue, letting out a grunt of pleasure. She put the paper candy inside her bag, making a note to herself to throw away later.

Her eyes turned to look at the brunette beside her. He still staring at her, looking pleased with the result of his actions. He seems to hesitate for a moment before throwing a paper airplane on her desk, making her furrow her brows before unfolding it.

"I stole Monty's candy for you, now can I steal your number for me?"

A light chuckle left the girl's mouth, attracting the attention of some of her classmates. (Y/N) wrote her number with a smile on her face, soon after sending the paper back to Jasper, this time almost being caught by the teacher, which made the boy letting out a mocking laugh.

After this, the girl went back to try to straightening herself in the chair, looking for a comfortable position to relax, which led her to fall asleep a few minutes later, making the class pass quickly for her.

At the end of the school day, when she was leaving school, (Y/N) passed through Jasper, who waved briefly to her before walking away. After arriving home, the girl picked up her phone, seeing that there were five unread messages from an unknown number.
