Mount Weather was a great place, or so (Y/N) had thought until her friend, Clarke, left the confinement zone that the mountain people had for people who came from outside. (Y/N) had been one of the first to go out and enjoy the gentleness of those people, she loved the place, until the girl Griffin began to create theories about how bad the place was.
Everyone was against Clarke, telling her to stop being so paranoid. So (Y/N), who had been friends with Clarke since the Ark, decided that she would stay with her, even though it might lead to much of her friends finding her insane. But the blonde seemed relieved and happy to have someone to share her secrets and plans with, as she was doing at that moment.
"What do you think?" Clarke asked after telling one of her plans.
"I think I want to finish eating." (Y/N) replied, biting some of the food in front of her.
"(Y/N)." the girl rolled her eyes. "I'm serious."
"Can't we leave it for later? I'm eating."
Clarke stared at her for a few minutes, as if deciding whether to let the girl eat in peace or not. In the end she shrugged before getting up.
"Eat, but meet me here again in an hour. We'll find out what's wrong with this place." she said before leaving.
(Y/N) stared at Clarke until she disappeared around one of the hallways while the girl reflected on what she had just gotten herself into. She sighed heavily, taking another spoonful of her food and getting up to go to the room the 48 shared. If Clarke invented hovering around the place at night she would have to be prepared, it would be easier to fall asleep as everyone was going into the dining room.
Almost all of them, at least. Upon arriving in the room, (Y/N) encountered Monty and Jasper sitting on the bottom of a bunk, the Green boy seemed to be showing a magic trick for his friend, who had an expression of wonder and confusion at the same time, trying to decipher what was the trick behind Monty's magic.
"Cool." Jasper said after a few seconds, resigning himself that he wouldn't understand what had just happened.
"Impressive." (Y/N) said, approaching the two and, apparently, frightening them, since they jumped when they noticed she was there. "Sorry."
"It's all right." Monty said with a small smile on his face.
"See, Monty? That was impressive." Jasper said, causing the other to quietly kick his friend. "Well, I promised to find Maya before I went to dinner. So yeah."
Jasper sent one last meaningful look to Monty before he started walking out of the room. (Y/N) sat in the bunk on the side of the boy's bed, looking at him.
"I haven't talked to you since we got here." she said, trying to start a conversation.
"We no longer have to go on missions together." he laughed quietly, nodding. "I hardly see you anymore."
"Yeah." she agreed, feeling that the conversation that had just begun was already about to die. "Do you like it here?"
"Of course." he nodded excitedly. "It's great here."
"I saw the way you look at the food." she laughed.
"Don't tell me you don't fancy the chocolate cake." he smiled. "Do you like it here?"
