The sun was still to rise when Monty Green had woken up, he had big plans for the day ahead. The boy quietly left the tent he shared with Jasper and tried not to make too much noise as he crossed the camp, the last thing he wanted was for someone to wake up to ask what he was about to do.

Since the hundred had discovered that they weren't alone on Earth, leaving the camp had become more difficult. Only people with guns could leave, and Monty wasn't exactly one of those people, so he would do it without anyone knowing.

He did not want to go out just to have fun or look for trouble as most wanted, he had a goal, a place where he wanted to go. It seemed that Finn had found a bunker in the woods and had told Jasper about it, he made the boy swear he wouldn't tell anyone, and, of course, he told Monty. The Green boy wasn't so interested when Jasper started telling about the bunker, he particularly preferred to stay inside the camp. But then Jasper briefly commented on the artistic material that were there. And then he'd caught Monty's attention.

Monty had never been an artist, but his girlfriend, (Y/N), was. (Y/N) (Y/L/N) was fascinated by arts since she was a child, and one of her passions was to draw. Monty remembered how she was never paying attention in class while they were on the Ark because she was too busy drawing in her notebook.

And since they had arrived on Earth, she never again had a chance to draw anything. Maybe because they were too busy trying to survive. Maybe because (Y/N) didn't have anything to draw with. And because of that, after the conversation with Jasper, Monty made it his goal to go to the bunker and get something so she could do one of the things she liked best.

He had decided to do it that day because, if he hadn't lost count of the days and was following the calendar the right way, Christmas was that day. And he knew that would be the perfect gift for her.

When Monty finally arrived in the bunker, the sun was already shining brightly. He'd gotten lost in the darkness, and maybe the coordinates Jasper had told him were not so precise, but he had arrived. The boy looked around him after entering the place, it was comfortable, and had a lot of things there. He tried to stop curiosity from taking over him and began to search for something he could take to (Y/N).

After a few minutes searching, he found a sketchbook with some pencils around it. An involuntary smile appeared on his lips, and then he took one of those pencils and the sketchbook and left. Now that the Sun was already shining, there must already be a lot of people awake. Including (Y/N).

The way back had not been so difficult, perhaps because the Sun was helping him to see the way ahead of him this time. But entering the camp had been a little more difficult, as people walked everywhere, so he had to sneak in without being noticed.

The first thing he did when he was on the inside was to look for the familiar (h/c) hair, which wasn't so difficult to find. (Y/N) was sitting on a log while eating some berries. Good, he had arrived on time for lunch. The girl noticed him walking up to her and stood up, a smile appearing on her lips.

"Where have you been all morning?" she asked as soon as he arrived in front of her. "I looked for you everywhere."

"I went outside." he said normally. The girl's smile faded, replaced by a worried expression, making Monty hurry to say he was all right.
