Moving to a new school is never really good. It has a lot of pressure. The pressure of new teachers who expect you to do your best, the pressure to make new friends, in short, pressure to be in a new place of which you do not know anyone or anything. Y/N was feeling all this pressure as she headed for her first day at her new school.

The girl feels her stomach churning as she passed through the gates of the place that she would attend the rest of the year. She felt observed, as if every move she did would count in the judgment that people would do, but at the same time she felt as if no one cared about her presence in that place.

When she walked into her class, she felt some eyes staring at her. Some people smiled, some others didn't seem to have any reaction to her arrival, and some send a simple "hi" while Y/N walked the desks looking for somewhere to sit.

Many people continued to stare at her as she sat in a desk over the back of the room, but no one seemed interested enough to go talk to her. Until Octavia entered the room. God bless Octavia Blake.

She seemed to have taken a liking for Y/N since her eyes saw the girl sitting back of the room, going to sit immediately in the desk besides her. It is easy to assume that they hit it off from the first moment. Y/N was the new girl, Octavia claimed that she didn't have many friends. The perfect duo.

Though when the girl told her that she didn't have many friends, initially left Y/N confused. Octavia seemed to be somewhat popular, everyone was always trying to hang out with her, they were always greeting her as she passed them. How come she didn't have friends? She then explained that all those people just talked to her because of her older brother, Bellamy, that kind of "commands" the school. The king. The popular one, which made her popular too. But she guarantee that half of her friends just were her friends seeking privileges at school.

Y/N never understood why people tried to talk to Octavia just to gain privileges, she was a nice person to have around. In the weeks passed, their friendship only increased. They talked every day and usually they would be in class passing notes, making jokes about their teachers and classmates.

She constantly was on Octavia's house, where they would eat a lot of food and laugh until they couldn't breathe. And it was usually there where she sees Bellamy, although sometimes she take a glimpse at him at school. They had never spoken, and because he had the attitude of the popular hot guy, Y/N didn't know if she wanted to know him any further.

Until one day.

Although Y/N was always in the Blake's house, she never had spend the night there, then Octavia thought it was fair to invite her to a sleepover during the weekend. It was the weekend that the season finale of their favorite TV show would go on TV. And it was only fair that they were together to see that.

So on that Friday, after picking up her stuff in her home, Y/N went quickly to the Octavia's house. She felt anxious and excited to spend the night at her best friend's home. When she got there, Octavia opened the door, giving passage for her to enter.

"Glad you arrived. F/T/S is about to start. Come!" the girl ran toward her room while Y/N was following close behind.

As she passed the living room, Y/N could see Bellamy sitting on the couch watching something. He turned back as she passed near him, grinning at her, making her wave quickly before continuing her way to her friend's room.
