Being one of the delinquents who were sent to the Ground was... Weird. That had its bad points: you could never really trust people, they were criminals after all. Of course, there were some who were there for stupid things, but there were also the murderers, the madmen who liked to set things on fire, and several other offenses that were considered heavy. And well, there were the grounders, too, who would get the first opportunity to kill one of the 100.

But it also had the good side, (Y/N), particularly, felt honored to have been sent to Earth, it was a big deal, right? She also liked nature, the animals, the light freedom they had and everything there that she didn't have on the Ark. Although there was something she had in the Ark that she was happy to have on Earth too: Clarke Griffin.

Both girls had known each other when they were children and had become inseparable ever since. And being with Clarke on the Ground made things better for (Y/N), even if her friend hadn't had much time to talk to her since the two arrived, since Clarke had taken the post of leader and princess of the camp, always worrying about to keep the place working. She could definitely make good use of a break.

And that was just what (Y/N) was thinking as she looked at Clarke and Bellamy talking. Probably something about the grounders, everyone is expecting an attack, it's normal that they are worried. Clarke, however, seemed to be more tense than usual. (Y/N) looked at the gate they had built, soon would be her turn to stay on watch, but she had a few more minutes.

"Clarke!" (Y/N) yelled, trying to catch the girl's attention. "Clarke!"

The Griffin girl turned to her, saying a few more words to Bellamy before turning away and heading toward her friend.

"What's wrong? Something happened?" she asked, looking more and more tense.

"No." (Y/N) giggled, taking Clarke's hand. "You need to relax a little, come on."

Clarke looked a little confused and lost as the girl began to pull her into the tent. She tried to murmur a few words of protest, which didn't seem to help much because (Y/N) continued to pull her until they were both inside.

The girl lay on the improvised mattress she used as a bed, waiting for her friend to accompany her, but Clarke just stood there, staring at her agitated.

"Lie with me." (Y/N) said.

Clarke stared at her for a few more seconds before she sighed and lay down on the bed, closing her eyes.

"How do you feel?" (Y/N) asked with a smile on her face.

"I don't know." Clarke replied, still with her eyes closed, trying to enjoy the moment. "Calm?"

"Great." (Y/N) leaned on her elbow to take a better look at Clarke. "You work too hard here."

"I need to." the blonde opened her eyes again, turning her face to look at her friend. "People here need me. Well, they need Bellamy, too."

(Y/N) felt the urge to roll her eyes at the mention of the boy's name. She couldn't help but feel jealous of the closeness they had gained in recent times.

"Then Bellamy can take care of this place for a few minutes for you to rest." she said, sitting up in bed. "I need you too." Clarke looked at her strangely and (Y/N) felt her cheeks heat up when she realized how strange the phrase had turned out to be. "I mean, we were pretty close at the Ark and now we hardly talk to each other."
