Word Count: 5164 words (because my boy deserves a lot of words).

Earth was beautiful, with all its colors, smells and sensations; only a person who had ever been on the ground could have known just how incredible that planet was. (Y/N) (Y/L/N) wasn't one of those people. (Y/N), in fact, had spent a good part of her life wanting to go on there, but instead she'd always been stuck in Mount Weather, and over time, even with all the games of "where would you go if you could get out of this place?" she had come to terms with reality. She could never go outside, not naturally (and with that meaning she would need a suit made just for that).

Reality didn't make her stop being curious, though. (Y/N) had always wanted to know, even if with just words, what the people who lived outside thought of the place. Are they used to feeling the sun on their face that they don't even care about it? But she had never had a chance to do that, after all, they never talked to the outsiders.

And then the others came. A friend of hers told her that they came from space and lived a few weeks on Earth. And now the number of questions that she wanted to ask had only increased, she meant, c'mon, they lived in space. But having them there together with the Mount Weather people didn't make it easy for (Y/N) to approach them, some of them seemed friendly, but she felt a bit intimidated every time she met the eyes of any of them.

Well, almost any of them. There was this boy. He had caught (Y/N)'s eye, but only because she seemed to have caught his first. It wasn't hard for her to notice him staring at her every time they were in the same place. But she was too shy to make the first move to go talk to him, and it didn't seem like he would talk to her anytime soon. Thank God someone decided to intervene in that.

One of the things (Y/N) most liked to do in her free time was to read. That day she had brought one of her favorite books to read while she was eating, but making sure that no part of the food fell on the book, the last thing she wanted to do was ruin it.

And then she saw the boy coming in, with Maya Vie just behind him, their eyes looking for something in the room, until their gaze fell on (Y/N), who turned her eyes back to the book. She glimpsed Maya murmuring something to the boy before he went to sit at a table next to hers, facing (Y/N), while Maya was walking toward her. Oh boy.

"Hey you." she said as she sat down in the chair next to (Y/N)'s.

"Hey other you." the (Y/L/N) girl closed the book, turning to the other. "How's it going, Maya?"

The brunette looked at the book that the girl had just closed and chuckled. "You're not reading this again, are you?"

(Y/N) hugged the book protectively. "Leave it alone."

Maya rolled her eyes slightly before looking at the boy and then back at her friend. "Okay, I have news."

(Y/N) felt suddenly nervous. What if Maya was dating that boy? "Tell me." she tried to sound excited, trying to hide the nervousness of having developed a crush on the –possible- boyfriend of her closest friend.

"There's this boy-" they were dating, oh my. "We're friends." (Y/N) couldn't contain a relieved sigh from her mouth, which was apparently ignored by Maya. "And he won't stop asking me to introduce you to him."
