(Y/N) tried not to laugh the best she could. She was at one of the large tables in Mount Weather cafeteria, eating with the people who had been late for dinner. In front of her was Jasper. And what was there about the boy that made her want to laugh? The way he ate. He seemed eager to eat everything on his plate, putting as much food as he could on his fork and then putting them in his mouth, barely finishing chewing and putting more food on the fork.

It wasn't just her that had noticed that. Monty, who was sitting next to him, glanced at the scene, but he seemed to ignore what was happening, which she hadn't been able to do. (Y/N) had let a laugh escape her lips, which made the boy in front of her look up, seeing that she was looking at him. He stopped his fork in the middle of the way to his mouth, looking confused at her.

"Are you laughing at me?" he asked, but it was hardly understandable, since his mouth was full of food and his voice was muffled.

"I can't help it." she giggled, and soon it was a loud laughter when she saw a fake offended expression forming on the boy's face. "It looks like you haven't eaten in days, but actually you ate three hours ago."

The moment she finished saying that, something caught her eye. They had brought the chocolate cake to the cafeteria. (Y/N) grinned at it, getting up quickly to make sure she would get a piece of it, seeing that other people were already getting up to do it too.

"I'm going to get some cake." she said, stepping away from the table, stopping at the sound of Jasper talking to her again.

"Why were you laughing at me?" his voice was muffled again, some bits of food flying from his mouth.

(Y/N) smiled at him, shaking her head. "You're a dork." and then she walked to another table to get her cake.

Jasper then turned to his friend. "She thinks I'm a dork." he grinned toothlessly, his cheek filled with food.

"You are." Monty rolled his eyes, though a smile was on his lips.

In a few minutes (Y/N) had returned, a big smile on her face, which made the boys sigh inside.

"Guess who got the biggest piece?" Jasper was excited to finally see the size of the cake on the girl's plate, which made her roll her eyes. "You can have some." he leaned closer to her with his fork in his hands, but she pushed her plate away. "But finish your food first."

Jasper immediately tucked another full bite into his mouth, which made (Y/N) laugh as she placed a small piece of her cake inside her mouth. She let out a moan of satisfaction, feeling the sweet taste of chocolate.

"This is so good." her voice showed the pleasure she was feeling as she took another bite to eat. "Want some, Monty?" the Green boy beamed, leaning over the table to cut a small piece for him. Jasper seemed displeased with that; (Y/N) noticed. "Monty's done eating already."

With those words, the Jordan boy continued to eat, trying to finish his food as fast as he could. He began to eat even faster when Monty commented on how yummy the cake was. Jasper stuck what was left of his food in his mouth, raising his arms in celebration. "I'm done! Give me!"

"Dork." the girl murmured with a smile on her lips, pushing the plate toward Jasper, who smiled at the cake.

"Hello, beautiful." he murmured, taking a piece with his fork, excitedly, and bringing it to his mouth. At least that was what he had tried to do.

The piece of cake fell on his lap inches before reaching the boy's mouth. A smile appeared on (Y/N)'s face. She bit her lower lip in an attempt not to laugh, which didn't work very well. But she didn't feel bad for laughing, since a few seconds after she'd started, Monty started too.

Jasper glanced at the two of them, taking the piece from his lap and throwing it at Monty to stop him from laughing. And it worked, the Green boy had stopped, grimacing and tossing the piece back into Jasper. The cake hit the boy and rolled to his side. The Jordan boy, in an attempt to pick up the piece, bumped his arm on the plate in front of him, knocking it into (Y/N)'s lap. The two boys froze at the girl's shocked look as she stared at her lap, now covered in chocolate.

"That's it." she looked up at them, sounding serious for a moment before a grin appeared on her face. "This is war."

And with that, (Y/N) took the cake from her lap, splitting it into two pieces, throwing one into each of her friends. The boys were in shock for a moment before taking the pieces and trying to throw them at the girl who had left the table to try not to be hit.

(Y/N) ran to the cake table, taking a piece of the plate from a boy who had just took it, and threw it at her friends, who began to take some food from other people's plates and and aim at the girl and, after a while, started throwing it at each other.

The people who were eating in the cafeteria rushed out so they wouldn't be hit by the food that was flying around the room, hitting anyone without mercy. When someone had finally arrived to stop the food war that was taking place, the three friends were a mess, just like the place.

(Y/N) had chocolate on several parts of her body, Jasper had some turnips stuck in his hair, and Monty had bean sauce on his face. They were looking at the guard who had come in and who was looking at the mess they had made.

"You know you're going to have to clean it up, right?" he asked, which made they look at each other, none of them managing to take the smiles off their faces.

And that smile didn't disappear any time soon, it stayed there even as they cleared that place, joking and talking to each other. But cleaning took a long time, since occasionally one of them would start the war again, destroying the progress they had made.

In the end, though, the place looked cleaner than it was when they got there. Jasper was sitting against the cafeteria wall, feeling his arms and legs ache as his eyes weighed slightly, but still admired the work they had done there.

His attention was drawn from the cafeteria when he felt (Y/N)'s head falling on his shoulder. The boy just now had noticed that the girl had fallen asleep, as did Monty, who had his head resting on (Y/N)'s shoulder, their hands for some reason intertwined.

Jasper grinned at the girl, pulling her a little closer to make her more comfortable, but Monty gave him a growl of discontent as he squeezed his hand into hers. Jasper shook his head slightly before pulling the Green boy closer to them. And just like that, Jasper laid his head on hers, closing his eyes and letting himself fall asleep too.
