(Y/N) loved Earth. That was a good place to live, except for the grounders, but still it was better than the Ark. Fresh air, trees, animals (even if they had an extra head sometimes), everything was so... Beautiful. (Y/N) loved it all. But there was something that bothered her on Earth. Cold. The cold that made her shiver, the cold that made her stay in a bad mood. She hated cold and everyone knew it, everyone knew that it was best to leave her alone during cold days and let her stay under the covers all day. And that was what she was doing at the moment, trying to stay warm with her blanket wrapped around her body as Jasper burst into her tent, seeming not to notice the glare she had sent him.

"Come with me!" he said excitedly with a smile on his lips, receiving a grunt in response. "Come on, (Y/N)!"

"I already told Bellamy I won't be on watch today." she said, covering her face with her blanket.

"I want to show you something." he laughed and pulled the blanket from her face.

"What?" she grunted again.

"I was walking around with Monty and we saw this frozen lake..."

"Nope." (Y/N) covered her face again, this time holding tight so Jasper couldn't pull it.

"C'mon (Y/N), it's awesome." he poked her. "I remember that you liked to see photos of the snow when we were in the Ark."

"Because I didn't feel cold looking at the snow when we were in the Ark."

"You lose half the fun if you don't feel cold when you see it." he shook her a little, making her grunting and tell him to leave her alone. "C'mon (Y/N), it will be fun. It's beautiful and incredible. And awesome. And amazing."

(Y/N) closed her eyes tightly, she knew she was about to accept. She couldn't deny it to him. Since they had arrived on Earth, things have been pretty bad for Jasper, and watching him get so excited made her happy. (Y/N) sighed and Jasper opened a smile, knowing she would accept.

"I'll wait for you outside." he beamed and left the tent.

(Y/N) took the blanket off her head and glared at the entrance to her tent. Slowly, the girl got out of bed, wrapping the blanket around her body and walking out of the tent, finding a happy Jasper outside. The girl grimaced as the icy wind hit her face and the little snowflakes began to fall on her body. Jasper raised one of his eyebrows when he saw that she hadn't left the blanket behind.

"There's no way I'm going to leave without it." she murmured, sounding grumpy.

Jasper didn't seem to be bothered by the girl being annoyed, wrapping one of his arms over her blanket, where her shoulders should be, and starting to guide her out of the camp. She had to admit, everything was more beautiful with the snow. The snow-covered trees gave her a warm feeling. The ground full of flakes was beautiful, but (Y/N) was annoyed by the cold that her feet felt even with shoes on. But her favorite thing was Jasper. There were some snowflakes that were on top of his hair that sometimes fell on his face making him laugh, the cold made his cheeks turn a little reddish. He looked adorable. (Y/N) let out a small smile as she watched the boy's features, which didn't go unnoticed by Jasper.

"Oh, look who's smiling." he said in a mocking tone. "It seems the rumor was wrong. The cold doesn't freeze your heart."

(Y/N) let out a chuckle and shook her head. "It does. But you're too hot to let it freeze completely." Jasper opened a big smile, pulling her closer to him.

It didn't take long for the lake he was talking about to get into their sight. Jasper started to jump when he spotted it, saying he had tried to slide on the lake with Monty, and that his friend had given up after falling a few times. (Y/N) felt a shiver down her spine.

She knew Jasper would make her skate or else he wouldn't have taken her there. But to do that she would have to leave the blanket behind, in the snow. And if she fell on the ice she would have nothing to cover her. (Y/N) grunted at the thought, but Jasper didn't seem to notice as he just ran off toward the lake, leaving her behind. (Y/N) whimpered before releasing the blanket and running after him, feeling the chill hit her harder.

Jasper stopped a few inches from the lake, looking back to see if (Y/N) was still there, and then starting to slide on the ice. He slid a few inches without problem, which made (Y/N) smile when she stopped where Jasper was a few seconds earlier. But then he lost his balance and fell on the ice, laughing as he did so. (Y/N)'s smile faded and she began to wonder if it would be a bad idea to leave him there and go back to the camp.

"Come, (Y/N)!" he said, getting up again.

"No." she shook her head. "I'm going to fall."

"I won't let you fall." he said, holding out his arms for her to come to him, but she denied it again.

"You don't even know how to skate, how you intend to help me?"

"I help you and you help me." he shrugged, his arms still outstretched. "Come."

(Y/N) sighed and shook her head to herself, thinking how stupid she was to do that. She stepped carefully on the ice, not having much trouble to stand, she heard Jasper cheering for her. That boy was gold. She smiled slightly and tried to slide toward him, but she lost her balance a few inches away from him, making her fall exactly into the boy's outstretched arms.

"I told you I'd help you." he said with a grin as she tried to stand still in his arms.

"Shut up." he chuckled at that.

Jasper held (Y/N)'s hands in his as she managed to stand on her own again. They began to try to slide slowly, and somehow they had managed not to fall on the ice any more, which made (Y/N) relieved. After a while, without warning, he let go of (Y/N) and began to slide alone, showing off for her, making the girl complain to him.

"I'm a natural." he said as he slid around her.

She rolled her eyes, staring at the ice beneath her, starting to slide slowly over it. (Y/N) was doing well on her own, even though she thought she would slip sometimes, but Jasper always came on time and put her on her feet again.

After some time, she felt more confident to slide faster. When she managed to slide across the lake without needing the boy holding her, she let out a victorious laugh. Jasper stopped for a few seconds to watch (Y/N) skating, a silly grin appearing on his lips as he saw the girl having fun on the ice. When he returned to skating he went over to her side, holding just one of her hands so they could skate side by side.

"Thank you for bringing me here." she said, smiling happily at him.

Jasper turned her to him, holding her close as a wide grin appeared on his face. "You're welcome, babe."

Jasper began to lean toward (Y/N), closing his eyes. The girl began to do the same, trying to stay on tiptoe to reach his face, and that was the mistake, since the tips of the girl's feet couldn't keep her balanced, causing her body to slide brutally forward, pushing Jasper's body back and making him fall on ice with (Y/N) on top of him. The boy grunted as he hit the ground, feeling dizzy as his head hit the ice.

"Jas? Jas, are you okay?" (Y/N) asked worriedly when she saw the look of pain on Jasper's face.

"I think I cracked the ice." he murmured, chuckling, which made (Y/N) roll her eyes. "I'm fine, don't worry." the girl nodded, getting off him so he could get up, but Jasper stopped her, holding her waist. "Could you kiss me better?"

A smirk appeared on Jasper's lips as he stroked the girl's waist. (Y/N) rolled her eyes again, but this time with a smile on her face. She leaned toward him, connecting her lips to his, making him let out a contented groan. She parted her lips soon after, giving him a quick kiss before she left him, making him whimper.

"Come on, let's get you to Clarke." she said, reaching out to help him up.

"I think I'm too dizzy to walk." he said, still lying on the floor, making her roll her eyes.

"I'll bring the blanket here to put you in it." she said and sighed. "I pull you to the camp."
