"Woah Jonah. Do you smell that? It smells amazing!" Aria exclaimed while walking into the house.
"Aria, it's just my mom's famous lasagna." Jonah replied while chuckling. Truth was that Mrs. Robinson had already told him what she was going to cook for dinner a while back.
This was the first time he'd said mom without stuttering or feeling awkward. Maybe he got used to this 'new parents' things.
"I'm starving. Come on let's go to the kitchen." Aria said while trying to pull Jonah towards the kitchen.
"Um Aria. I don't know about you, but I would like to clean myself up before eating my mom's delicious food." Jonah said calmly.
"Ooo. You're right. I'm just going to go home and clean up a bit. I'll meet you back here in about 10 minutes. Okay?" Aria suggested.
"That's fine. See you later alligator." Jonah said.
"In a while crocodile." Aria replied with a smile.
Aria entered her house just to get yelled at.
Her mom yelled at her for coming back home so late, but Aria disregarded the yelling and went upstairs to clean herself up.
Once she finished cleaning up, she just left the house without telling her mom that she was going to Jonah's house once again.
Aria rang the door bell and Jonah's mom opened the door.
"Hi Jonah's mom! I'm Aria, your next door neighbor." Aria said with a huge smile on her face.
"Hi Aria. Can I ask you a quick question though? Did Jonah tell you that I was his mom?" Jonah's mom asked curiously.
"Yes, but I do know that you're his foster mom." Aria replied.
"Wait. Are you serious?" Jonah's mom questioned.
"Yes ma'am. Why? What's wrong?" Aria asked noticed tears in Jonah's mom's eyes.
"Honey, can we just sit out on the bench for a little while?" Jonah's mom asked.
"Sure" Aria replied while pulling Jonah's mom out of the house.
They both sat down and Jonah's mom hugged Aria tightly.
"I never thought that I would ever have a child, but now Jonah is here. I didn't think that we would act as an amazing family. I wanted to try to make this family amazing though. I never thought I would hear Jonah call me mom." Jonah's mom said while crying tears of joy.
Aria didn't know what to say, and she didn't have to say anything either because her mother decided to come out of the house and yell at her.
"ARIA! What are you doing!?" Aria's mom yelled out.
Jonah's mom quickly wiped her tears and walked over to Aria's house.
"Hi. I'm Jennifer. I'm your new neighbor. Your daughter was just coming over for dinner. You could come if you like? I'd like for us to be great friends." Jonah's mom said calmly.
"Oh I'm sorry. I didn't know that. Well, I hope you're settling in well. I have a lot of work to do. Maybe, I'll come by tomorrow to talk to you or something?" Aria's mom suggested.
