"Mom I'm going out!" she yelled out, while stepping out of the house.
"Wait up honey!" Her mom yelled back. Her mom ran to the front door and gave Aria a coat.
"I knew you forgot to take your coat," her mom sighed.
"Thanks mom," Aria gave her mom a small smile.
"I know today's a rough day for you. You can stay out as long as you want to. Just make sure you come back in one piece, alright?" She smiled and gave Aria a hug.
"Thank you mom. I'll probably just be out until the sun sets." With that, Aria departed.
The town of Holloway was a quaint little town, with just enough of gloominess to make it the perfect type of place for Aria to photograph.
To say the least, the next couple of weeks of summer are going to be hard on Aria. Today is Cassie's death anniversary, and then next week would have been Cassie's 18th birthday. Even though it's been over ten years since Cassie passed away, Aria still feels empty without her. To get through this month, Aria usually photographs a lot more than usual. With her new studio open, Aria will be booked, and greatly distracted by the unfortunate event.
"Good Morning Aria!" Natalie greeted Aria as she walked into her studio. Aria wasn't paying attention and walked right past her.
Nicole thought something was off, so she went to go check up on Aria in her office. "Hey Aria, are you alright?" she asked.
"Yea I'm good. What's up?" Aria answered.
"You don't seem so well. Do you want me to cancel all your appointments for today?" Natalie was Aria's new assistant.
"No, that's alright. I need the distraction. When's my first appointment?" Aria asked.
"In 15 minutes. Do you need anything, coffee or some snacks?" Natalie was very helpful; she didn't even mind staying after hours to help Aria with any bookings. She was honestly a blessing to Aria's studio.
"I'll take some coffee. Thanks Natalie" Aria gave Natalie a small smile.
"Anytime," With that, Natalie left.
