This summer Aria went to a photography workshop a couple towns down, so she could learn new skills to implement in her studio, and to assist her unfinished application for the Artistry Aurora Borealis competition.

The Artistry Aurora Borealis competition is held by the state of Alaska, and it brings all types of creative people together that are inspired by one thing – heartbreak. This competition happens every year, and you have to be at least 16 years old to apply. Aria has been wanted to apply to this program since she had heard of it, but because she was too young, she was never able to apply until now. She is now 17 years old, and she is finally ready to apply. Aria has accomplished so much in the past couple of years; her application would be outstanding.

"Could you turn to the right a little bit?" Aria asked the girl she was taking pictures of.

"Sure," She responded. Aria was completing her first graduation photo shoot. The high school wanted everyone's pictures done before school started this year. She wanted to feel ecstatic just like the seniors were feeling, but she was still stuck in her junior year, and she wasn't in the best mood. She was just hoping she'll end up taking a picture that would increase her chances of getting into the competition. The deadline was approaching and she hasn't taken a picture that she thinks would be perfect for her application.

All of the sudden, a big group of people entered Aria's studio. "Excuse me. Do you guys have an appointment?" Natalie asked the boy that seemed to be leading the group.

"We're from Millbourne, just 20 minutes down south from here. Our principal should have called a couple of days ago, letting you guys know that we'd be coming down to get a photoshoot done," He responded.

"I actually never received a call from Millbourne, and it's close to the end of the day, so I won't be able to move any other appointments around. I'm sorry, but y'all will have to reschedule," Natalie tried get the group of boys to calm down, but Aria had enough of loudness, and she came out to resolve the issue herself.

"What's going on out here?" She asked Natalie.

"These group of boys claim that.." Natalie started explaining the situation to Aria. Aria told Natalie that her last scheduled appointment had canceled earlier this morning, so they group can finish their photoshoot now.

"Hey, I'm Carter. Thank you for taking us. We just assumed that we had appointment, so we rushed down here without calling to make sure," One of guys thanked Aria.

"Yea, it's no problem. Next time, make sure to confirm the appointment, so y'all don't run into the risk of not getting a slot, you know?" Aria always made sure that her customers felt welcome with her kind and generous persona.

"Alrighty. Also, my friend wanted to ask you a question. Jonah, come on!" he called out.

"Carter, it's fine. I can find something else to use for the competition," Jonah responded.

"Competition?" Aria asked.

"Oh yea, Jonah's been wanting to get into this competition that has something to do with artsy stuff. Here, Jonah can tell you all about it." Carter pulled Jonah towards Aria, and left the two alone.

"So, you're trying to get into Artistry Aurora Borealis too?" Aria questioned.

"Too? So, you applying as well?" Jonah wasn't surprised. Aria is one of the best photographers in the tri-city area, which include Millbourne, Holloway, and Ashton. Almost everyone knew her.

"Yup, but I haven't been able to choose a photograph yet," Aria sighed.

"Awh no. I hope you find some sort of inspiration soon. If you want, you could come down to Millbourne with us?" Jonah asked.
