A couple of days later, Jonah finally went to Aria's house to talk to her.

"Hey Jonah. Aria isn't here right now." Aria's mom said softly.

"Oh okay. Thank you." Jonah replied.

Jonah decided to get some coffee before going to the park.

Once he got the the park, he saw Aria sitting on the swing looking through her camera.

"Hey." Jonah said while sitting on the swing next to Aria's.

"Hi Jonah." Aria replied while taking the coffee Jonah got for her.

"I'm sorry." Jonah said.

"I'm sorry too." Aria replied.

"You don't need to say sorry, Aria. You didn't do anything wrong." Jonah said.

"I left you when I should have stayed." Aria replied with a sad smile.

"I told you to go. Don't blame yourself." Jonah reassured.

"Do you want to talk about it now?" Aria asked.

"No, well today, but not now. I just came here to have a happy conversation with my best friend right now. We'll talk at night." Jonah answered.

"Okay. So what's been going on with you?" Aria asked.

"Nothing much. I just painted some more and got my thoughts together. What about you?" Jonah asked.

"I spent most of time in the park and I applied for more programs. I completely forgot to tell you about one program that I had applied to. It's in Europe though. I know we didn't talk about applying for programs in Europe, but it was my dream program. It took me forever to find it. The day I found it, I applied, and I was going to tell you, but when I came to you, I -" Aria replied, but cut herself short.

"I'm sorry you had to see me in that state." Jonah stated.

"Jonah, it's okay. We're best friends. We're here for each other. We should stop saying sorry to each other." Aria replied with a chuckle.

"Yea we should." Jonah laughed with Aria.

"Let's go paintballing." Aria suggested.

"That's a great idea! Let's go!" Jonah exclaimed.

Jonah and Aria had enjoyed paintballing, even though they got a couple of scratches here and there. It had been a while since they had gone out to have some fun.

But then they had to part ways for dinner. They promised each other to meet on the roof, like usual.

"Aria are you okay?" Aria's mom asked.

"Yea I'm fine." Aria responded while playing with her food.

"Are you sure? You rarely play with your food." Aria's mom stated.

"I'm fine mom. I'm just not too hungry. I ate a lot when I went out with Jonah today." Aria lied.

"Oh okay. Just leave your plate here then. You can go to your room, if you want." Aria's mom replied.

Aria washed her hands and went to her room. She laid down on her bed and stared at the ceiling. She kept thinking about what Jonah was going to talk about tonight. 10 minutes later, she fell asleep.

A loud noise woke her up.

"Aria! Are you okay? Did something fall?" Aria's dad shouted out.

"Yea dad! I'm okay! Don't worry." Aria replied quickly, after she noticed that it was just the rock Jonah threw.

"Okay. Your mom and I are going to sleep now." Aria's dad said.

"Good night!" Aria replied.

She quickly opened the window to yell at Jonah.

"Couldn't you find a smaller rock to throw!?" Aria yelled out.

"I threw small rocks before, but you didn't come out before, so that's why I threw a bigger one." Jonah replied.

"Sorry about that. I kind of fell asleep." Aria said sheepishly.

"It's okay. Let's go up to the roof." Jonah replied.

Jonah and Aria got onto their balconies, and Aria helped Jonah come onto her balcony.

Once they got onto the roof, they both laid down and looked at each other.

"I'm sorry that I've been so distant lately. It's just that so many things have changed in my life in such a short amount of time, and it scares me. The only change that's happened in life before Alaska, was when my parents died. Aria I'm not used to change at all." Jonah said.

"Neither was I Jonah, but I had to get used to it. That's what you have to do too. Get used to this change because I'm always going to be here." Aria replied.

"No. You misunderstood. I'm not saying that I don't like the change. I love you. That's not what I'm not talking about. It's just I've gotten so used this new life that I don't want it to change again. I don't want to leave my parents or you." Jonah said.

"You're not leaving me though. We're going to go to the same place. I don't see understand why your so scared and worried." Aria said.

"Aria even I don't understand that. I don't understand why it hurts so much. I guess I've just gotten so attached to everything that I forgot it was bound to change. We might even go to separate places because you applied to a program in Europe, and I haven't applied anywhere outside of The United States. Aria, it's really really possible. Now that I think about it, you have so much talent, you're bound to get into that program. You're going to leave me behind. You're -" Jonah started ranted, but Aria cut him off by placing her hand on his mouth.

"Don't you ever say that. I don't know how many times I'll have to say this, but I love you and I'll never leave you behind. I'll say it as many times necessary, as long as you understand it. I won't leave you as long as you don't leave. Hell, even if you leave me, I'll still be holding onto you." Aria said.

Suddenly, Jonah cupped Aria's chin. He leaned in, and he kissed her.

It was a slow and tender kiss. It held so many emotions in it. Sadness, Happiness, Love. Their lips moved in sync. They were at bliss.

Jonah suddenly pulled back.

"I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that." Jonah said.

"It's okay. I understand why you did that. There's no need for you to apologize." Aria said. She actually loved every moment of the kiss. She didn't want him to say sorry, but he did. It hurt her, but she can't do anything about it. He doesn't like her, but she likes him. She just has to get over him.

"Thank you Aria." Jonah said.

"For what?" Aria asked.

"For understanding and for being here for me. It means so much to me." Jonah answered.

"That's what best friends are for. We should probably head off to bed. I love you Jonah." Aria said. She kissed Jonah's cheek and went back to her room.

She laid down on her bed and touched her lips. She could still feel Jonah's lips on hers.

She smiled and fell into a deep slumber.
