Movies, Popcorn, and Crying

Once Aria got back home, she went to her room and took a shower.

She was exhausted from all the dancing she did and the walk she took after talking to Jonah.

She honestly didn't exactly know why she needed to get some air. She had friendship issues and trust issues and maybe that caused her to feel a bit down after Jonah had danced with the girl, but oh well let's not worry about that right now.

Aria got dressed and went downstairs to make some popcorn because she was going to watch movies all night, but before she went downstairs, something hit her window.

She opened the window and saw Jonah trying to throw another stone at her window.

"Jonah! What are you doing?" Aria exclaimed.

"Whoops sorry. I just wanted to ask you something." Jonah said sheepishly.

"It's okay. Go ahead and ask because I want to go start my movie marathon soon. Or actually just come over. It'll be fun. Let me go get the popcorn while you just settle down in my room." Aria said while walking away, not waiting for Jonah's response.

Jonah came into her room and sat on the bed. He wanted to know why Aria had left his house during the Christmas party. He didn't understand what he did.

"What do you want to watch Jonah?" Aria asked with a tub full of popcorn in her hands.

"It doesn't matter. Anything is fine." Jonah said with a small smile.

"Harry Potter?" Aria asked.

"Always." Jonah said while moving to the side of the bed so Aria could sit down and set up the movie.

Aria finished setting up the movie and laid back on Jonah's chest. The tub of popcorn was in between both of them. They watched the movie in silence. Then, Jonah decided to speak up.

"Aria why did you leave?" Jonah asked vaguely.

"What do you mean?" Aria asked.

"Why did you leave the party so suddenly?" Jonah clarified.

"I just needed some air." Aria replied without looking at Jonah.

Jonah paused the movie and forced Aria to look at him.

"Why did you leave Aria? Why did you need some air? Did I do something wrong? This has been bothering me the whole night, so instead of ignoring the question, just answer it and explain yourself." Jonah said.

"Woah Jonah. Okay-" Aria said before she was cut off again.

"Sorry it's just been bugging me and I took my frustration out on you. I didn't mean to. I'm sorry." Jonah said while giving Aria a tight hug.

"It's okay. You do deserve an explanation." Aria replied.

"No it's okay." Jonah said, feeling bad.

"Let me talk Jonah." Aria said.

"I'm all ears." Jonah replied.

"So. We've known each other for a while, but I haven't really told you everything about me. I've had issues throughout high school. Bullying, Depression, etc. I honestly don't know how I'm able to keep a smile on my face now. It's probably because of you. You've changed my life. You've made it amazing. Anyways, throughout high school, I had developed friendship issues and trust issues because people come to me, but then they leave me without an explanation. I've become a sensitive girl. Once I get attached, I can't let go, and I become very very sensitive. I guess, I've gotten attached to you now because after I saw you dance with that girl, I felt like you were slipping away from me. I felt rejected. I felt like I wasn't supposed to be there. So I left and told you that I needed some air." Aria said while tears were rolling down her face. She was remembering all the hard times she had gone through.

"Aria please don't cry. I understand what you've been through. You're a strong girl. There is no reason for you to cry over the past. You've got me and I'll be here in your present and your future. I'm always here for you. I love you Aria, don't forget that." Jonah said while wiping the tears off of Aria's face and then hugging her softly.

"I love you too Jonah." Aria replied while looking at Jonah with a small smile.

"You want to finish watching Harry Potter?" Jonah asked.

"Is that even a question?" Aria chuckled.

Jonah pressed play and allowed Aria to lay back down on his chest. They watched as many of the Harry Potter movies as they could before they fell asleep.
