It had been a couple of days since Jonah had seen Aria.
He had been settling in and spending more time with his new parents. They went out for bowling and watched movies in the living room. Jonah truly cherished every second of it.
Today, they were going to decorate the house.
"Come on Jonah. Let's go get some stuff to decorate the house." His mom said.
"Mommmmm I don't know anything about decorations." Jonah complained.
"Really Jonah really? So that painting in your room doesn't count as a decoration? Those stars in your room don't count as decorations?" His mom said, her words laced with sarcasm.
"Ugh fine. I'll come with you. But I have one condition." Jonah said giving in.
"You want to bring Aria along?" His mom said curiously, knowing that her son was infatuated with his next door neighbor.
"How'd you know?" Jonah asked.
"A mother's intuition." His mom said with a mischievous glint in her eyes.
They both walked to Aria's house and her mom opened the door.
"Good morning um sorry I never got your name a couple of days ago." Jonah's mom said excitedly.
"Oh I'm sorry about my attitude a couple of days ago. I got overprotective of Aria since she had been stranded in Alaska. But anyways, my name is Stephanie." Aria's mom said.
"That's okay. I understand. Well we came by because we're decorating the house and we were wondering if Aria would like to come with us to go shop for some decorations." Jonah's mom explained.
"Sure sure. I'll tell her to come out. Thank you for the invitation. Let me just get her really quickly." Aria's mom said with a smile.
Aria came outside running with a huge smile on her face and hugged Jonah.
"I've missed you Jonah." Aria said with a tender smile while pulling away from the hug.
"I've missed you too Aria." Jonah said mirroring her smile.
Jonah's mom started coughing. Aria and Jonah looked over.
"I'm still here, you know." Jonah's mom said chuckling.
Aria and Jonah couldn't help but laugh with her.

First they stopped at Hobby Lobby. From there, they got some more painting supplies and small little decorative accessories.
Then then stopped at Kirkland's. From there, they got some wall decor.
Finally, they went to Michaels.
"Mom can we go home now? I'm tired." Jonah complained.
"I completely agree with Jonah." Aria said.
"No. We're going to go to Michaels and then I'll take you both out for some food. Whatever you want." Jonah's mom negotiated.
Jonah and Aria's eyes lit up and they nodded quickly.
