Chapter 7: All My Fault

Dr. Kallen and Ian were looking over the scans. 

"You're right" Dr. Kallen said pointing.

"When she was little did they do an MRI of her brain?" 

"I don't think so. I remember being at the hospital with her. This can happen right?"

"Ya I mean its more common then you think.  A kid or whoever has epilepsy and there could be just be small signs not recognizable."

"I need to go talk to my parents."

"Yes, then we can discuss medication"

Ian left, he found his mom and David  in the room with Charlotte. Kate had left to go tell the others that Charlotte was awake. There were nurses checking her vitals, etc.

"Hey princess" said Ian going over to her.

"How are you feeling?"

"Just a little tired is all" she said. Ian combed over her hair and kissed her forehead. 

"I'm just going to talk to Mom and David for a second. We will be right back" He motioned for them to follow.

"What's wrong with her?" asked David.

Ian explained everything to them.

"Oh God" said Erin with her hands cupped over her mouth.

"Mom, it will be okay. There is medication. She will be fine, I promise"

After another like 4 hours Charlotte was finally released from the hospital. Just when they got back to the house Kevin got home. Charlotte was watching a movie on the couch by herself while the rest of the family had gone back to do what they were doing at the request of Erin. Charlotte needed her rest and she wanted the house quiet. Kevin came rushing in the door.

"She is fine" said Erin calming him, "She is in the living room"

Kevin ran to the living room

"Dad!" she said happily. 

Kevin went over and pulled her into a hug.

"Don't worry dad I'm fine" she said hugging him back.

"Such a tough kid."

"Someone has to be tough in this family. There a bunch of wimpy boys"  said Charlotte with a smile.

Kevin laughed. "Get some rest sweet pea. I'm going to talk to your mother"

Kevin left to the kitchen to talk to Erin. Erin told him everything.

"So why did David leave in the first place?"

"You know. I have yet to get that answer"

Just then Nol, Luke and Ethan walked in the door.

"Hey dad" they all said.

"Do you 3 know why David left Charlotte alone with Simon in the first place?"

All 3 of them gave each other a look.

"Nope" said Luke.

Kevin gave him a stern look

"I think Brant knows" said Nol.

They all ran upstairs.

"Are chores done?" he yelled up after them.

"Yes" yelled Ethan back.

Then Ben, Blaine, Brian and Brant walked in.

"Oh good. I heard you know why David left Simon with Charlotte" said Kevin to Brant.
