Chapter 33: Reasons Why

Everyone was in the waiting room it was 5am. Actually no one left. They all slept there except Molly who went home to be with Simon and Sam. Kevin and Erin had stayed the night with Charlotte in the room. A nurse came in.

"Sorry to wake you" said the nurse as Erin and Kevin opened their eyes.

"Its alright" said Kevin.

"We are going to take her soon to run some more scans of her brain" said the nurse.

"How is she doing today?" asked Erin.

"All her vitals look good and improving" said the nurse, "Thats a very good sign" 

"Thank you" said Erin.

"My pleasure" said the nurse, "You know you have such wonderful children, they won't leave"

"What?" asked Kevin. 

"Those all your sons and daughters out there?" asked the nurse.

"Oh" said Kevin, "They are good kids" 

"Well I will be back in 45 minutes or so to take her down" said the nurse leaving.

"I'm gonna go talk to the rest of our children" said Kevin getting up leave.

"I'm going to stay here with Charlotte" said Erin getting up and going to sit down next to her. Erin pulled out a book, Narnia to be exact, her favorite book.

Kevin left to the waiting room. Everyone was sorta asleep. When he walked in a few opened their eyes.

"I told you all to go home" said Kevin.

"We couldn't" said Kate.

"We can't leave until we know she is going to be okay" said Brian.

Kevin smiled "I know that. But how about you all go home for a little bit, get some food, a shower and maybe a good sleep in. Also take care of the animals. She is going to go for some scans and then when you all come back you can go in and see her" 

"Okay" said Kate. 

Kate and Brian started to wake up the others up.

"I'm not leaving, until I know she is okay" said Nol.

"Well dad said we have too" said Brian.

"Just for an hour or two. To get some food and take care of the animals" said Kate.

"Hey where's Blaine?" asked Brant.

"I was the last one to fall asleep and he was here" said Luke.

"Must of left in the middle of the night" said Paul, "Lets go"

They all got up and left.

When they all got home they found Blaine in the kitchen finishing eating.

"Where did you go?" asked Paul.

"I left"

"Well we figured that part out" said Brant.

"I just couldn't sit there anymore" said Blaine.

"You could've done it for Charlotte" said Brant annoyed.

"Hey don't start" said Kate breaking it up.

Blaine walked off.

They all got showers, new clothes and foods and went to feed the animals. They were all about to leave to go back to hospital when the door rang. Paul and Brian went to answer it. They opened the door to see a girl about Charlotte's age.
