Chapter 31: The Thief

"I swear I left my wallet right here" said Kevin.

"Dear you are always losing it" said Erin.

Kevin sighed in frustration.

"Found it dad" said Charlotte going up and handing it to him.

"Thanks princess" he said kissing the top of her head.

"You need to go shower its almost time for bed. Luke is going to be here tonight while your father and I are out"

"Its only 7pm and a Saturday!"

"Yes and I want you in bed early tonight, you've been up way to late lately" said Erin.

Charlotte made a pouting face

"Charlotte" said Kevin sternly.

"I'm going" said Charlotte sighing and wandering off upstairs.

Then Ben, Brian and Paul walked in the door.

"What are you all up tonight?" asked Kevin 

"Heading to the bar" said Ben.

"And who is driving?" asked Erin

"Uber" said Brian.

"Who's Uber?" asked Erin.

They all laughed.

"Mom its like a taxi" said Paul with laugh.

"Then why don't they just call it that" said Erin annoyed.

They all laughed.

"Come on dear, we are gonna be late and don't I'm driving, not Uber" said Kevin.

Erin smacked him in the arm. Kevin smiled and they walked out.

"Be safe boys" said Erin.

Brant then came down the steps with Luke.

"I don't know why I can't go" complained Luke.

"Because you aren't 21" said Paul.

"I have a fake ID" said Luke.

"You what?" asked Paul.

"Never mind" said Luke quickly trying to cover up what he said.

"Uh huh" said Paul.

"Brant lets go" said Ben, "Blaine and Nol are waiting"

"Oh crap I forgot my wallet"

They all sighed, Brant ran back up the steps for it.

"Have you guys been missing any money lately?" asked Brian.

"Ya actually I was missing 20 bucks the other day" said Ben.

"Ya me too actually" said Paul, "I just thought I missed placed it"

"Weird" said Brian.

"Very weird"

"You don't think someone in the family is stealing again?" asked Luke

"Again?" asked Paul.

"Erica doesn't count" said Brian.

Meanwhile upstairs...Brant walked into his room to see Charlotte in his wallet pulling out 20 bucks.

"Charlotte!!" yelled Brant he went right over to and grabbed her arm.

She looked shocked and scared.

"What the hell are you doing!?!?" Brant was so mad.

"I can explain" said Charlotte fumbling for words.
