Chapter 35: Why Did I Do It?

Charlotte went home 2 days later. All the scans and tests were clear. The doctors said she was going to be fine. Although they gave her two new stronger medications. They all decided it was best they not tell her about the money or yelling. Although the doctors did say she might remember eventually. Charlotte was given strict orders to rest, no running around, just relaxing on the couch and no school. She was so bored. She was upset though because she thought Carter would be around more, but he wasn't. Blaine though was constantly around. So was everyone else. It was almost starting to get on Charlotte's nerves.

"How are you feeling?" asked Brian who came in living room.

"If I had a dollar for every time someone asked me that in the last few days I would be rich" said Charlotte.

Brian laughed. 

"Seriously, you all have to stop asking me that?"

Ben and Brant walked in.

"How are you..."

Charlotte put up her hand "Don't even ask it"

Ben and Brant shot her a look.

"She's tired of people asking her that" said Brian.

"Someones cranky" said Ben.

"I'm not cranky! I'm bored!"

Ben put up his hands in defense.

"Well you wanna play a game?" asked Brant. 

"She will not be playing any games" said Erin.

"Mom..." complained Charlotte.

"Rest Charlotte"

"I was just gonna say Monopoly" said Brant.

"That's is fine" said Erin, "But you will still be sitting on that couch"

Charlotte groaned and flopped back down on the couch "You are going to have to surgically remove me from this couch soon" 

Erin ignored her and walked away.

"I'll go get the game" said Ben walking away.

They started to set up the board, when Blaine walked in. "hey! Why was I not invited?"

"Feel free to join that most boring game of all time" said Charlotte.

"Okay, fine we won't play" said Brant starting to get up.

"No! I want to!"

"Then stop being sarcastic and cranky" said Brian. 

Charlotte pouted.

They were halfway through the game when Charlotte started to fall asleep on Blaine. He wrapped his arms around her as she fell asleep on his chest. 

"Thank God. She's right this game is super boring" said Brant standing up. 

"Agreed" said Ben getting up.

"You coming?" Brian asked Blaine.

"Nah. I don't want to disturb her" said Blaine.

"Suit yourself" said Brian, "But she fell asleep on me yesterday and I didn't move for an hour"

Blaine shrugged the others walked away. 

Meanwhile David was at work and Ian walked in.

"Dude" said David, "I can literally smell the alcohol on you" 

"What?"

David glared at him "Don't even tell me"

"I'm fine"
