Going back to Jongdae is nowhere near easy. It's not because of my feelings for him, no, that actually makes me want to be near him again, but the feeling of absolute guilt sears through me, holding me back from returning to him.
Eventually I do go search for him again. I go to the building that he works at, and start to look around.
I finally spot him and the 'gang', piled around the door, probably planning what to eat for lunch. I run towards Jongdae. "Jongdae!" I shriek, my voice upbeat and happy to see him again.
Then I stop, sensing something different. Bomi's not right next to him, or anywhere near Jongdae right now. I look around, and notice her standing awkwardly next to Dahyun.
Suddenly, Jimin pops out of nowhere and slings his arm around Jongdae and Minseok who are both standing next to each other talking. "What do my alone buddies want for lunch?" Jimin grins.
Jongdae looks at Jimin. "I'm okay with anything." Jongdae shrugs, not having an opinion.
Jimin's simper grows wider. "Well that's good."
Woohyuns practically waltzes over to them. "Jongdae's just too nice, he clearly wants to eat black bean sauce noodles."
Jimin snorts. "Are you kidding me? Of course he doesn't. It's obvious that he wants to eat fried chicken." He argues.
Minseok rolls his eyes. "Why don't you both ask Jongdae what he wants?" He suggests.
Woohyun and Jimin stare at Minseok as if he's just told them that they're are half brothers, and suggested eloping together. "Excuse me?" They both blurt out, not believing him.
Then they turn towards Jongdae. "Well what do you want to eat?" Woohyun snaps.
"I—" Jongdae begins, looking slightly uncomfortable.
"Hey! Stop harassing the poor kid!" A voice yells, and Dahyun appears next to Woohyun. She smacks him on the head.
Woohyun frowns, rubbing the area where he was hit. "Owww." He complains.
"Let's just go eat knife noodles." Yoongi suggests, and everyone nods in agreement.
Everyone starts to pile out of the door, leaving a dumbfounded Woohyun and Jimin staring at the door in shock.
Jimin looks utterly confused. "What just happened?"
Woohyun shrugs. "I have no idea." He answers, crinkling his nose in disgust.
I laugh at how similar their personalities are, and walk out of the door as well. "Come on, let's go eat!" I yell over my shoulder to Woohyun and Jimin, who both still seem like they don't believe what just happened.
...
"Gah, this is so boring." I complain. I stare enviously at the noodles that Jongdae is slurping. "I can't eat, drink, or talk to anyone—this is so pointless."
"This is really good!" Jimin comments, grinning from ear to ear. Even while knowing that he can't see my reaction, I glower at him.
"And whose idea was it?" Woohyun asks, raising his eyebrows.
"Not yours." Jimin snorts. Then he nods his head at Yoongi. "It was that brilliant jerk's idea."
"Why am I a jerk?" Yoongi pouts, frowning.
"Because you're not single, you little brat." Woohyun replies, his voice slightly annoyed.
Yoongi lightly rolls his eyes. "That's your fault that you aren't dating anyone, not mine." He retorts. "Just means that no one likes you."
