As the two officers take my arms, I don't fight it because there is no point. When I'm in the police car, they make me take a test to see if I have anything in my system and obviously, it comes back with alcohol and weed.
The cops are the nicest people I've seen all day.
"You alright, Kiddo?" I look up through the dirty class that divides me and them, before making eye contact with one of them through the mirror.
"Rough d-day." I mumble, staring out to the city.
What a mess.
And I guess I really like these officers because they've got the radio on and they're really sweet and they're not being mean.
"You're going to be okay, Kid.. Luke, was it?" I nod. "You ain't in too much trouble, you gon' be jus' fine."
funny accent he has.Oh well, I smile and nod until we are at the station because if I don't grit my teeth and smile, I'll break my own heart and cry.
OOPS.
Getting out the car, the taller, black haired man holds my arms behind my back
The only thing I can enjoy from this right now is that I'm somewhere safe and I know that I'm doing and that there's something other than the concrete to stand upon.
Soon, they sit me down on a bench and I'm opposite the desk.
The lady behind it, who's on the phone, glares at me.
Thanks babe.
Probably about ten minutes pass until the officer who drove the car comes out eating a donut. How typical.
He sits down next to me without a word which is, oddly, not the strangest thing I've experienced today, but it's still pretty unsettling- however, after a few minutes, a relax into his presence and we both watch a girl in hysterics talking to someone on the phone.
"Poor girl." He murmers, and I look down to see his name tag that reads jace.
I smile a small smile at Jace.
He smiles a small smile back at me.
"A-Am I allowed to ask why I've been taken in, sir?"
He nods, chuckling.
"Course you can, kiddo," my silence urges him on while I stare awaiting the reason. "Your mum called in and said you destroyed a few things, that you hit her."
Whoops. "You know you shouldn't go doing things like that?"
I sigh, chewing on my lip ring which tarred my skin a bit when Adam slapped my mouth.
"Yeah, course I do,"
"Mind me asking what happened?"
"We had an argument."
Picking at the skin around my thumbs, I refuse eye contact as he looks at me. I've never been good with eye contact; that is, apart from Michael.
Because, the truth?
