You watched as Hunter moved his paw around on the stone floor. "I feel vibrations in the earth, we must be getting close."
Sparx flew up by Hunter's head. "Finally!" He complained.
You looked around the tunnel until you spotted a window. Apparently Spyro seen it too, because he and Cynder walked up to it and looked out into the city. Spyro turned his head to Hunter. "I-I've never seen the Dragon City before."
Hunter nodded his head and looked at all of you. "It was built long ago by the moles, in honor of their friendship with the dragons. Before Malefore," He glanced at Cynder, then to you. "Dragons were quite revered." He shook his head in disappointment, as if remembering the old days.
Suddenly, there was a low thundering growl that echoed around you. Cynder shushed everyone and looked around, as did you. "I heard it to, quickly!" Hunter said in a rush as he began to run off down the tunnel.
You followed close behind, squinting your eyes as you were exposed to the sun's bright ray of light, Hunter came to a sudden halt, causing you to almost run into him. He spoke three simple words before the sound of war broke loose around you. "...It has begun."
You watched with wide eyes as a flaming boulder came flying over your head and into the once beautiful city of War Fang. You opened your mouth to say something, but nothing came out.
"This way! Stay close!"
You almost didn't hear him as he started to take off again. You ran as fast as your four legs would carry you, but you couldn't seem to catch up with his cheetah legs.
That's when you seen a flaming rock crash through one of the towers, causing it to fall into pieces, one of the bigger chunks began to fall in your path.
Your eyes widened as you slammed your front paws down, trying to stop yourself from going any farther, your wings spread out behind you, trying to pose as an emergency break.
This only resulted in Spyro and Cynder crashing into your back, not being able to stop themselves either. You could feel yourself stumbling forwards and tripping over your front paws.
The building chunk came down with a massive bang, dust and debris flying all over the place as it hit the ground. Spyro jumped back in surprise as you lay there coughing and sneezing up a storm.
You flapped your wings in front of you, trying to rid yourself of the flying dust. Once it all began to settle down, you heard a voice coming from the other side of the destroyed tower. "I'm alright, but you won't be able to get through this way. Go, find Ignitus!"
You nodded, but then realized he couldn't see you, but Spyro already beat you to it. "Okay! Good luck!"
Spyro turned. "Come on!" He exclaimed as he began to run back towards the way you came.
"Help! Please! Please! Somebody! help us!"
You stopped when you heard frantic voices screaming for help in one of the burning buildings. You turned your head to Spyro and Cynder, but it seemed as though they heard it too.
Cynder gasped as soon as she spotted the ones who were begging for help. "Spyro, (Y/n), look!"
Spyro quickly ran to stand beside the two of you. "They need our help!" He declared.
He turned his head to face you. "(Y/n)! Go find some buckets! Me and Cynder will find a way to get the water flowing again so we can put out the fire!" He nodded to you before running off with Cynder.
You frantically looked around. Where were you going to find some buckets?! You're pretty sure they don't just have some lying around somewhere!
You shook your head and pushed up off the ground and flapped your wings. Deciding to go the opposite way that Spyro and Cynder went, you took off speed flying through a stone passageway.
You gritted your teeth as you forced your wings and body to quickly tilt in order to avoid hitting the wall that stood before you.
Stopping for only a second before diving through a different passage. You folded your wings up, causing you to landed hard on your paws. You looked around and felt your heart speed up. There were the buckets!
You raced towards the gated objects and found a switch. With nothing to lose, you pulled down as hard as you could on the lever, causing it to groan as it dipped down.
You let out a gasp of surprise as it suddenly shot all the way down, causing you to go down with it.
Dust fell from the gate as it opened up. You quickly grabbed one in your mouth before taking off into the sky. You started to suspect something was up since you haven't been attacked by anything since you got here.
You suddenly wished you hadn't have thought anything of it, because an axe suddenly came zooming through the air and into your shoulder.
A yelp of pain caused you to drop the bucket, which broke as soon as it hit the ground.
You snapped your head towards the little devils who lodged the axe into your now heavily bleeding shoulder.
They all just crackled and laughed as you hissed in pain. But soon stopped once they heard the animalistic growl that emitted from the back of your throat.
You landed awkwardly on three feet, since you couldn't place the other down without hurting yourself. With a snarl, you braced yourself before ripping the axe out of the wound.
(B/c) blood dripped off the blade as you dropped it, causing it to land with a clank.
You felt the familiar hatred and anger building up inside you, causing a boiling feeling to grow in your heart. Something inside your mind began to whisper things, but you couldn't hear what it was saying. You shook yourself, trying to get rid of it.
You readied yourself as black smoke once again began to come off your body. Without a second thought, you charged at them, but then without warning, your injured leg gave out, causing your eyes to widen as you stumbled into the group of green grublins.
They were taken by surprise, which gave you a second to collect yourself before swinging your claws at one of them. It let out a scream of pain as it toppled over.
Two more to go.
Once again, you tried to charge at them, this time successfully bringing them with you as you jumped into the air.
You grabbed one with your jaws and crushed it's neck, causing it to disappear instantly.
Just as you landed, you felt a sharp sting cross your face. A warm substance rolled down your cheek and land with a soft drip on the stone floor.
The whispering grew stronger, to the point that you could almost hear what the voice was trying to say.
"K.....l."
"Br...k .... b.....ns"
"De........y ...."
Fi...t!"
You squinted your eyes in pain as you lunged at the Grublin, grabbed it between your teeth and proceeded to repeatedly slam it into the ground. You would have continued if it didn't disintegrate.
With heavy breathes, you nodded with satisfaction.
You hissed in pain as you limped over to the buckets yet again and picked it up in your mouth.
Only one question crossed your mind....
Why do Grublins have to be such a pain in the ass?
