The Obsessive Checker is all of us and if you say you aren't then you are lying because every Wattpad user has been this person and probably still is this person. The Obsessive Checker is the type of person who checks their phone/computer a hell of a lot just to see if anyone has commented on their story or sent them a message.
Not gonna lie, this is so me in the holidays when I have nothing better to do than go on Wattpad for twelve hours a day; I refresh my notifications and messages all the time just to see if anyone has commented something interesting. Especially as a new writer, you become extremely anxious about whether people will like your book which is why you check your notifications so much- you're looking for feedback.
I don't check Wattpad as much as I used to, but I still check it quite a lot just because I hate it when my notifications build up because I miss important comments from people. Also, whenever you see that you have a new vote it makes you feel just that little bit happier.
