Missing Symmetry (Death the Kid x Reader)

Chapter 3: First Full Day

You woke up to the sweet smell of breakfast. One sniff and you were wide awake. But instead of standing up, you accidently fall to the ground.

"Good morning ____, why are you on the floor," Maka asked.

"I have no idea, this isn't how i planned to start my morning," you said laughing. Whenever you got hurt you would usually laugh to make the pain go away.

"Oh ____ can you wake up Soul and Black*Star for me, they'll be late to school," Maka said putting napkins at the table.

"Sure thing," you said already walking down the hallway. When you walked in you saw a woman in purple hair ontop of Soul.

"Maka, there's a lady on Soul," you said yelling from his room. Maka calmly walks from the kitchen to Soul's room and sees the woman on Soul.

"Oh good morning Maka," she says.

"Oh thats just Blair, our cat," she said annoyed.

"Which reminds me, MAKA CHOP," she yelled and hit Soul with a hard-covered book.

"C-c-c-cat?!" You said shocked.

"Ya she wouldn't leave us alone so we kept her as our own."

"So, she's a witch," you said.

"She says she's a cat with an odd amount of magic," she said dusting her hands off.

"Well i think i need to get ready, i'll go ask the landlord for an extra key."

"Alright _____ see you at school," Maka waved.

"Bye Maka, Bye Soul," you waved off.

~Little Time Skip~

You walked out of your apartment, this time grabbing your keys of course, and walked off to school. You summoned Shellra to ride there since you were almost late. When you reached the top of the stairs you see Kid leaned against the wall as if he was waiting for someone. He spots you and waves. You roll over to him and then Shellra disappears.

"I see you're not tripping anymore," Kid joked.

"I got the hang of it, so why are you out here," you asked.

"Well i have to show you around since you're not familiar with the school," Kid said still with no smile.

"Oh ya, totally forgot," you said looking on the floor.

"Come on, can't be late for your first day," he then leads you inside. You both stayed quiet for a while but then Kid spoke up.

"Is something wrong ____," he asks.

"Why would you ask that, i feel fine," you replied with a smile.

"No, you don't feel fine, something's bothering you," Kid stopped as you bumped into him.

"This is the same reaction you had when your father died, all gloomy, now tell me what's wrong," Kid says as he picks up your chin.

"Kid, when we were kids, you would always smile, but now all you wear is a straight emotionless face, not even a smirk," you said tearing up.

"____ you realize it's just part of growing up, right," he asks while bringing you into a tight hug.

"I just want it to be the way it used to be, where you would always smile," you said already breaking.

"Ok, i'll try to smile more, just stop crying please," he said pulling you out of the hug.

"Ok," you said sniffling with a smile.
