(Marco's POV)

Aggressive... That's what I called him when I first met him. He hated me and just wanted her back. I was the only one in his way. I'd protect her with all I had but, one time, it wasn't enough.
He took her. Hurt her to get back at me for protecting her, I hated it. I hated HIM. So I found him. Hurt him like how he hurt her. I took her back and left him there, in pain. She felt bad, then got mad at me for what I did. I protected her, and what does she do? Get mad. I was shocked...

After awhile, things became 'normal' again. Or as you would say, less sad. Since nothing is 'normal' with her. A sudden emergency had called her back home, so I was left alone. Things normal, boring. I missed her, still do but... He came back, for me this time... He confuses me...

When I saw him, I instantly tensed up, standing in a defensive position. He just... Stood there, a blank expression on his face. He stepped forwards and I instantly took a step back, eyes narrowing. He stood still once more, his face plastered with the expression of guilt. 'Sorry' is one work I thought I would never hear out of his mouth.

He said it again and again, his voice shakier each time he spoke. My eyes were wide, shocked. He was... Crying?? Hell, he actually felt bad for what he did.. But, can I forgive him? After everything... Can I forgive him... As soon as I looked down to think, I felt a surge of warmth hit me. It was... Nice, until I realized what it exactly was.

When a figure or being from the 'demon/hell realm' feels to much of negative emotions, they become trapped in themselves, wanting to protect themselves from what's making them fell the bad emotions. In this case, he wanted to burn whatever's bothering him. I'm guessing that it's me.

I step back but the heat just gets stronger. God... What am I suppose to do? After a few seconds of thinking, my eyes widen. She told me that; 'To calm a demon-being down, you must give them something that makes them feel, safe, comforted.' What keeps a demon calm..? Nothing around here I assume... My eyes narrow as I think, not noticing that the heat was getting stronger. I blink and sigh a bit, knowing what I should do... Do I really need to though..? I mean, I guess... If I don't the heat may catch flame..

I step forwards once, then again and again. The heat is... Well, it's hot, obviously. I look to him and sigh, watching the grey-ish tears fall from his eyes, down his cheeks then to the ground or down his neck. How and why do I feel bad for him? Hesitantly, I hold both my arms out, locking eyes with him.

".... Come'on, Tom.."

Tom's eyes widen, wiping them again and sniffling. He looks to me worriedly, probably scared that I'll hurt him. I look down a bit then shake my head softly, looking back to him with a small, soft smile on my face.

"I'm here.... It's okay, Tom. I forgive you."

His eyes instantly tear up more, and he hesitantly took a step towards me, then another. He hugged me tightly and I hugged back, rubbing his lower back with soothing circles to comfort him. He was sobbing, but it was a silent sob. His 'claw-like-nails' dug into my back a bit and I just, shook my head and let it happen. Thinking, I slowly lowered myself and Tom to the ground, landing on my knees and just, holding him.

"Sh... Sh.. It's okay... I'm here.. Shh.."

Thomas just nodded shakily, hugging me tighter in his grasp. I sighed a bit, rubbing his back again. I mumbled some things, wanting to walk Tom down as much as possible. When I finished, his breathing had slowed, and all I could hear were soft whimpers and coughs.

"Hey, Tom. Let get you to a place to rest..."

I felt him nod against my shoulder and in a blink of an I, we were in his carriage type home thingy. He stood slowly and I also stood, looking to him.

".... M-Marco...?"

"Mhm...?"

"C-Could you uh-uh... St-stay he-here while I-I uh.. Slee-eep..?"

"..... Y-Yeah... Sure.."

She would want me to do this... I know she would. I watch as Tom sat on his bed, laying down and looking to the ceiling. He seemed... Lost. Sighing, I walked over and sit on the edge of the bed. I don't think he noticed me until I said something.

"Hey, Tom... You can sleep.. Your safe.."

He jumped a bit, looking to me and locking eyes with me, nodding. He shuffled onto his side, shutting his eyes and relaxing his breath.

"There ya go..."

I kept my voice soft, not wanting to bother Tom.

"G'Night, Tom..."
