Blue's pov

"I wonder why Barry's not downstairs yet," I say to Calum, frowning at the two empty spots at the table.

"He's probably still sulking up in his room," Calum says, an equally worried look on his face. Barry always came downstairs before ten o'clock because he got hungry. It was almost eleven thirty.

"Maybe we should go apologize. We were a little hard on him yesterday. He was just trying to help," I say, feeling a little guilty. Calum nods and stands up. Before we can go upstairs, the front door swings open and in walks Ashton.

"Blue, Calum, did Jasper spend the night here? He's not at home and doesn't have his phone with him," Ash says, clearly worried. He was really protective over Jasper. They were all each other had, besides us of course.

"I don't know. Barry hasn't come downstairs yet. We were about to go check on him," Calum informs his bandmate. Ashton nods and walks behind us as we go upstairs.

Since he was in front, Calum knocks on Barry's bedroom door then opens it, not waiting for a come in. I gasp when I see that the room was empty. The window was open and the breeze was making the curtains blow back and forth.

"Barry," I choke out, about to start crying again. Not him too. Calum's eyes were wide. Ashton rushes over and grabs a piece of paper off of the bed.

"It says that he went to find Violet," Ashton tells us, his voice shakey, "What if Jasper went with him?"

"Ash? Calum? Blue? Where are you guys?" Luke calls from downstairs. I couldn't answer. I was too busy trying to control my breathing, which was speeding up.

"Upstairs," Calum yells back. My brother, Michael, and Brielle, Luke's wife, all rush upstairs.

"Carter, Cassidy, and Piper are missing. Where are Jasper and Barry?" Luke asks me. I stare at the open window, cursing the fact that it let my son out of the house.

"Barry went to find Violet. We think that Jasper, Piper, Cassidy, and Carter went with them," Ashton explains softly. Brielle gasps loudly. Luke pulls her into his embrace. I hadn't noticed but Calum had done the same for me. Ashton was rereading that note. Michael seemed to be frozen in shock.

"We have to find them! They're just kids!" Brielle yells, pulling away from Luke.

"We will. We'll call Officer Marcus right away," Calum promises. She nods, but doesn't seem reassured.

"How far away can they really be though?" Michael questions, trying to remain optimistic.

Cassidy's pov

"Are we there yet?" I whine. We had just gotten into Utah, but i was bored out of my mind. We had already been on this bus for about ten hours and had hardly made any progress at all.

"Nope," Piper answers, rereading the same magazine for the tenth time so far. All of us were bored out of our minds without our phones.

"Why are we going to New York?" I ask, trying to figure out the real reason we were going so far away.

"Officer Marcus might be a dick, but he was right about one thing, Violet does like to go out late with her friends. I figured that she was probably out late and snuck back into her room before she was kidnapped. I went and checked on it before we left. Sure enough, there was dirt on the floor, which Vi would never allow, and large boot imprints on the carpet. While there was no evident sign of a struggle, her bed was a mess, which had also never happens and there was a stain which smelled an awful lot like chloroform, which is used in a majority of kidnappings. One thing about Violet that everuone can agree on is how much of a neat freal she is. She'd never let her room be left a mess, even if it wad just a small mess. Anyways, I found a scrap of paper on the ground, under the bed that had NYC, NY written on it in a handwriting that doesn't match anyone in our family's or any persons I've seen," Piper concludes, leaving me completely gobsmacked. Leave it to Piper to find so much evidence that the police missed.

"Piper," I start, throwing my arm around her shoulders, "you are an absolute genius." She beams at the compliment, clearly proud of her own work, as she should be.
