Michael's pov

"Hello?" I ask, confused. A random number called me and I usually don't get telemarketers.

"Michael!" A familiar voice yells, "It's me! Jasper!"

"Jasper?" I gasp out, even more confused and shocked. Calum, Ashton, Luke, and Blue all freeze and turn to face me, disbelief written on their faces. Ashton rushes over and tries to take the phone from my hands. I fight him off, determined to talk to Cassidy.

"Michael, listen. We're all in some hotel in Jersey. We don't know where you guys are because the chip got lost or taken. We escaped though. Can you all come get us by tomorrow morning? That's when we have to leave by," Jasper explains.

"The chip fell off in the basement of Marcus's house. We got there and you guys were missing. But yeah, we'll have the police track you down," I promise him, shoving Ashton away.

"No! No police! Let Hanna do it. She's amazing with technology," he assures me.

"If you're sure. Now can I talk to Cass?" I plead. There's a moment of silence.

"I'm sorry Michael, but no," Jasper eventually says.

"No? What do you mean by no? Jasper give the phone to my daughter right now!" I command.

"Don't yell at my son," Ashton tells me sternly. I roll my eyes at his comment.

"I'm sorry Michael. We have to go now. We'll see you tomorrow morning," he says. Before I could protest, Jasper had hung up. Ashton snatched the phone from my hand and stares at the blank screen with disbelief.

"What did they say?" Blue immediately asks me.

Cassidy's pov

"Your dad wants to talk to you," Jasper whispers to me, putting his hand over the phone. I shake my head no and lean back against Barry's chest. He wraps his arm around me almost immediately.

"I'm sorry Michael, but no," Jasper continues. He winces as my dad starts to yell at him. I tense up, nervous about how angry my dad will be at me when they finally come get us.

"I'm sorry Michael. We have to go now. We'll see you tomorrow morning," he says, snapping me out of my thoughts. Then he hangs the phone up.

"So apparently, the chip fell off while we were in that basement. My dad found it over near the cell," Jasp informs us right away. I close my eyes, angry at myself.

"It wasn't your fault, Cassidy," Barry whispers, holding me tighter.

"Yes it is. If I hadn't lost the chip we wouldn't be in this mess. Or if I had looked harder and seen it while we were in the cell. Or if I hadn't put those stupid bobby pins in my hair. We wouldn't have gotten out and they would've found us," I say, beating myself up.

"Or we could be dead. Marcus and his men could have killed us at any time between them finding us and the getting there. We were in danger. Cass, we're safe now because of you. And we'll be back with our parents soon enough. No one blames you," Piper promises me. I nod and bite my lip, still blaming myself.
