Blue's pov
"Don't worry Mrs. Hood," Officer Marcus says, "we'll find the children in no time."
"How can you be so sure? We don't even know where to start looking," Michael points out. I wait to hear the cop's response.
"That's where you're wrong. Our tech guy just emailed me. It seems like the kids already made their first mistake. Piper Hemmings apparently purchased five plane tickets to Canada, just north the boarder," Officer Marcus informs us, puffing his chest out slightly. I glance over to my brother, who had perked up at the mention of his daughter.
"That doesn't sound like the Piper we know," Ashton says slowly, clearly skeptical.
Marcus rolls his eyes, "My people know what they're doing. We've got people up there right now, ready to meet the kids when they get off of the plane." He turns and walks away.
I give the boys a look, "This is so not going to work. I don't care what he thinks." They all nod, their expressions glum.

Barry's pov
"You know, in one more hour, we will have been on the bus for an entire day. Twenty four hours of sitting still and looking at nothing," Jasper whines. We were in Kansas now and twenty-three hours into our long journey.
"Well we could've been biking instead," Carter points out. The three of us had managed to snag the seats at the very back of the bus. I was squished in between Carter and Jasper.
"I just wish I had my phone," Jasper grumbles, slouching down more in his seat.
"Don't we all. But think about it like this, Jasp, you get to cross something off of your bucket list now," I point out, trying to keep him happy.
"What?" He questions, frowning as he tried to think.
"You're a fugitive now. Isn't that on your list? Or did you take it off?" I ask, lowering my voice to a whisper. The last thing we need is for anyone to overhear us.
Jasper breaks out into a wide grin, "You're right Bear! We are!"
"You are way too excited about that," Carter complains. He may be spontaneous, but his limits extend only as far as the law. Jasper's always sworn he's had a bit of a bad boy history, no matter how untrue it is. That boy is a big teddy bear, just like Uncle Ashton.
"Do you think our parents know we're missing yet?" Carter asks, his voice a lot more serious. I was surprised by his tone.
"Yeah," I answer immediately, "I do. I bet Uncle Ashton, Uncle Michael, Uncle Luke, and Aunt Brielle have already contacted the police about you guys being gone."
"You don't think your parents told Marcus?" Jasper asks me softly.
I shrug, "Who knows? They probably don't care that I'm gone. They can focus on getting Violet back now without an annoying teenager butting in." Both of my friends are quiet for a minute.
"I think you're wrong," Carter finally says, "Your parents do love you. They might not show it in the most clear way, but they do." I shrug, not really believing his words.
Just a heads up, I don't have school the rest of the week so I might not be posting any more chapters this week. I'm sorry. I love you all and hope that you each have an amazayn (intentional) Thanksgiving!
