Barry's pov

"You two, come with me," Officer Marcus says, pointing at two guards.

"What's going on?" Carter demands. We were all sitting in our new cell.

"Your friend Cassidy is apparently back in New York and all alone. It turns out that she came back, trying to find you guys by herself. I guess your parents didn't believe her," Marcus snickers.

"Leave her alone!" I yell, getting angry. Violet gently touches my arm, trying to calm me down. Marcus just laughs as he and his guards leave.

Cassidy's pov

"The chip is there," Hanna assures me for the millionth time. She had attached a small GPS chip to the back of a necklace. That's how my dad would find me again. Assuming that Marcus takes me to the same place that my best friends are being held hostage at.

"Okay. Wish me luck," I say, taking a deep breath.

"Good luck," Hanna whispers, hugging me tightly.

"Be safe. Come back with them," Kyla says, giving me a tight hug. I nod, then wave as I depart from them. My plan was literally to just walk around New York City and take as many pictures with fans as I possibly can. I know that my social media accounts are still being monitored by Marcus. Hanna had put out an tweet a couple hours ago, trying to spring the trap for him. If a bunch of fans post about seeing me in NYC, then he'll really jump at the bait. Assuming he hasn't disappeared to New Zealand or something.

After my eighth picture, I started to notice the people following me. I immediately recognized them as Marcus's goons. I swallow hard, finally realizing what I had gotten myself into. There was no turning back now. I take another deep breath, then walk down a street that had hardly any people. They follow me.

"Cassidy, wonderful to see you again," Marcus says, smiling coldly at me. His men were right behind me. He was playing right into my hands.

"Please," I squeak out, "help me. My friends went missing."

"I know where they are. I found them late last night. I called your parents and they're one their way. We were all so worried about you though. They said you got split up in a crowd," he lies. I nod, pretending to be relieved that he found me.

"Let's get you to the hotel they're staying at, okay?" He questions. I nod and allow him to lead me away.

"Let me go!" Cassidy yells. Something was off in her voice though. It didn't sound like she was actually wanting to get away.

"No," Piper whispers, siting up. I was leaning forward as well.

Marcus and Cassidy turn the corner. He had her by her hair and was pushing her toward the cell. The door swings open and she's shoved inside. Cassidy tumbles in, falling onto my lap.

"All six," Marcus exclaims, clearly happy. And just like that, he all of his guards leave the room, celebrating.

"Oh Cass," Jasper says, miserable, "you were supposed to get away. Even if our parents didn't belive you, you should've stayed away. Now we're all trapped."

Cassidy gives us a confused look, "I did get away. I went back to California with Hanna and Kyla. We went back to the original cell with all of our parents. I purposely got kidnapped."

"Why?" I demand, upset that she didn't just stay away.

"Because I had to free you guys," she replies, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Well we appreciate the gesture, but I'm sure they took the phone you were going to use to contact our parents," Carter points out.

"I don't have a phone. Hanna put a GPS chip on the back of my neckla-" Cassidy stops abruptly.

"What's wrong?" Piper asks.

"It's gone. The chip is gone. It must've fallen off on the way here or they took it off when I fell asleep. I'm so sorry guys! We had a chance and I ruined. I ruined the first time too," Cassidy sobs, miserable.

"It's alright Cassidy. It's not your fault. We'll figure this out together," Violet promises, trying to remain optimistic. Cassidy just continues to cry.
